    Smile clutch oil questions

1982 honda cr250r elsinore, finally got the clutch figured out (ihad it adjusted completely wrong), now i dont now what kind of oil to use for the clutch or how much to use, do i fill it right up completely?
thanks to everyone who has responded to my clutch problems, appreciate all the info and now its just about ready, just need new gasket for clutch casing and some oil. ???

When purpose made 2-stroke trans oil isn't available, you can use a 15w/40 oil and it won't matter whether the formulation is mineral, synthetic fortified or full synthetic. Don't use a car formulation as some have friction reducing additives that will cause slippage. If you have access to a bike shop, any brand of 2-stroke trans oil will do the job ( but change it regularly even if not racing). From memory, 750ml on a 250RC. Cant remember if they have a check bolt or dipstick, either way, go with either of these for safety. Use the highest grade of pump fuel you can get your hands on too.

use auto tranny fluid in the old bikes. we used to use the DEXRON III for our motox bikes.
Belray light viscosity oil is a constant 15 weight oil for a wet multiplate clutch, the same as you have in your bike.
