Help with Ducati rubber dust boot on master cylinder!

    Hi guys,

today i installed new pazzo levers for my bike, but while taking off the stock brake levers, i accidentally ripped the rubber dust boot. Does anyone know how to fix it? Will it be fine if i just left it, or is this an issue I should immediately attend to?

I have read a few things on other forums, saying that i might have to change the entire master cylinder, which costs $300-$400. For something so silly, i hope there is another alternative.

    Please help!

It's my first time posting up a thread, i didn't know which topic should i post it under, so i ended up posting 2. Apolagies! But please help, anyone!

It will be fine to ride to a dealer or wrecker to see if you can get one, I'm assuming you mean the little one between lever pivot and master cylinder, it should be a fairly universal part so if you can get one from any bike with one the same shape and size and make it fit you'll have nothing to worry about.

Obviously you don't want dust or rain getting in there but its not immediately vital to the safe operation of your bike, if all else fails superglue the tear and put it back on with the torn side down, out of sight out of mind
