Thanks for your help xs, Got the remote start running today..

The only difference was that the pink wire didnt actually do anything so i left the pink/grey cut into the red from ignition and all of my joints are in the wiring loom under the tank.

Came across a snag yesterday, i use the remote start to start the bike, put the keys in and ride away, after about 10 minutes the bike cuts out, i lose all power, lights for a couple of seconds, then of course cos its still in gear it fires up again and does a key banger... any ideas?

Did you stop the remote start before you rode away? The remote start features does have a 10 minute timer.....

If you use the remote start to warm the bike, hit the disarm button to kill it. I do mine for 10 minutes before I leave work, the timer kills the motor and the bike has warmed up enogh to get stright in the ride. Don't use the remote start to get on and go - the timer will do what you've described.

Manual doesn't say anything about it - you're lucky it didn't happen mid corner. Dubs, addendum to the manual?

hey could someone put a pic up of the remmote next to a ruler or 50c coin or some other way of telling the size?
Also where are you guys keeping the remote? I worry of having it swinging around in my ignition an scratching up my dash.

Will do Matty, but as a guide, the remote is about 50x30x10, excluding the antenna. Usually I leave it hanging on the keyring, which drops down in front of my triple clamp, except when it's wet, then I hang it on a lanyard around my neck.

I just unclip it from the keys and put it in my jacket or jeans pocket.

So does the remote start feature work with HISS? It sounds real handy for the cold mornings, ie wake up, press button, have a shower, ride to work with a warmed up bike.

And anyone interested in helping me fit this to a new cbr600rr? I am getting the bike this tues/weds and the alarm not long after I would expect. I will supply the beers

All done and wired on Matt's SP2. We've got some progress photos that Matt will post up soon, but for security reasons, there's none of how the loom was run, or where it was wired into the bike harness. All said and done, you can barely see we were there.

Massive thanks to xsnoiz, you are a champ! The alarm works a treat, remote start and all. All up it took about 4hrs to strip bike, fit alarm and reassemble (maybe quicker if beers werent involved). Will sort out pics and post up soon.
Oh, and thanks for the alarm Dub's. Best $75 i've spent on the bike yet.

There was only 1 wire cut on the whole install, and that was for the immobiliser circuit. The loom and all the joints blended prefectly into the factory wiring.

Malenko, drop me a line when you get the alarm, and I'll help you out. Remote start won't be hooked up though on yours - HISS will take care of that.
