    Removal of starter motor: CBR600F4i

    Hi all

Hoping someone might be able to give me a quick rundown of the removal of the starter motor from the CBR600F4i (01). I've removed starters from cars and that's relatively easy, two bolts, two leads and all's swell.

Also - can anyone recommend a place to recon the brushes?

    Cheers

It's even easier than a car.
    2 bolts and 1 lead.
Bolts are at the back of the starter motor, going down into the crank case.

Its got an oring seal on it, so may take abit of wiggling to get it out.

Honda Cbr 600 F4I Service Manual - Download
Not sure if the links work.
Should be able to find a service manual for the bike online somewhere.
Print it and get it bound at Office Works.
    Just an idea anyway .

Once removed, wrap in a rag, chuck in a shopping bag, drop it to me next time your down this way. Brushes are a piece of cake man, as is pulling the starter as people have mentioned. Hell, throw some beer in the fridge, i'll have it out by the time you get the bbq warmed up, what days good for you?
If its got tits or wheels, it going to give you trouble.
