    Smashed my crank cover in

Decided to go for a ride today out to the lakes, lowsided on some oil on the intersection of the great eastern bypass and roe, grinded/smashed my crank cover (my draggins look pretty unhappy too ) . FUCK

now its tempting to just replace the crank cover but its likely that i now have bits of shit and metal in my sump right? my best move would be to take the sump off and clean it properly or try and get away with just replacing the cover?

???? That corner is usually pretty good, will watch it on the way home, tip stay in the wheel tracks when going around corners and don't change lanes until you have straightened up and well clear of the corner.

Hope you get it sorted OK, how'd ya get home??

mm OK I never ride there, closest I get is the right handside of the left lane or the left handside of the right lane.

it wasn't oil, it was because you're inexperienced and extending beyond your boundaries. the sooner you accept this and start considering ways you could have done things better, the better it will be for your riding career and health.

    good luck with repairs.

p.s. you weren't one of the drunk dudes that came up to us in northbridge last weekend on the friday night ride and were like "HEEEEEEEY BROOOOOOOOOOO, I RIDE BIKES MAN I GOT A 2650 DRUNK AZ EY OI OI WHATS THAT IS THAT A NINJA IVE GOT A FZR" were you?

bahahahaha nah that wasn't me i was working on friday night (but you can bet if you had a 05-06 636 i'd come and gawk at your bike)

definitely wasn't pushing it either i was going bout 30 and the front end was gone before i even started leaning in

Got the mechanical repairs all done new oil and coolant. the end of the crank case was filled with gears for the water pump and starter motor so i air blasted all it all off and poured oil in and leaned her on her side to flush any shit that may have made its way through the galley to the sump (seems very unlikely while oil was gushing from it) put her back together.

Now i just need to get some abs welding rods and learn how to plastic weld then decide whether or not to paint it again. I just bout an fzr 600 which needs a lot of love so dunno if i can be bothered with a repaint
