    sychronizing carbies

    ello,

Currently servicing a mates R1 99 model and have found that the bike is running rough at idle, the bike hasnt run for a couple of years so it could be a number of things ie fuel ect, while i have it apart i have decided to schronize the carbies.
I havent done it before however from what i have seen on the net there is not to much to it so i waz wondering if someone on here would be so kind to lend me a carbtuner, ive seen homemade jobbies but havent got tha time to mess around,id buy one but would probably never use it again.
ps if anyone haz done the carbies on this model before any advice would be appreciated.
    I live sor near jandakot.

I have one of the old Motion Pro mercury tube carby balancers. You're welcome to borrow it. You just attach a tube to the fitting on each manifold and the vacuum will draw the mercury into each tube.Adjust the butterfly screws so that each tube is at the same level.

It must be 15 years old. I bought it the mid 90's when I was racing 600 Supersport. It worked well balancing the carbys on the old CBR600's after we put the Dynojet kits in.
