EOI: Bikini Wash - Photoshoot of your bike & a model?

EOI: Bikini Wash - Photoshoot of your bike & a model?

    The MAD Committee, along with some of resident photoshoot guru's;
(Ozboy/SpeedTrip/Sventek/vbroom just to name a few.)
are looking at offering the opportunity for people who have their bike washed to have a couple of quick photo's taken of their freshly washed bike with one of the lovely bikini washers,
or with one of the guys, or Nath, or bike on its own...your choice.

The idea is that the photoshoot would only be a few minutes, you'll be emailed the originals and a donation goes to MAD.

Now, these guys are donating their time, skills, equipment, and then the following evenings sorting photo's and getting them email out to you.

What do you think is a fair price/donation for the photo's?

It won't be a case of get the photoshot, then buy what you like.
Gotta keep this simple so it will probably be a one price for a couple of shots.
There won't be any preview galleries or anything.
You pay $x. Wheel your bike up, they take some photo's.
    You trust in their awesomeness.
Photo's emailed to you during the week or hosted in a server for download.

Looking for feedback as to how many people would take them up on their generous offer.

I know you've all probaly thought about a location but you'd want to make sure you have a decent backdrop for the shots, plus ease of access to get the bikes wheeled in and out.

    I'd pay $20. It's for MAD afterall.

I'm assuming it's digital only... not a printed pic?

    Digital only.
You can print the image as many times and as big as you like at your local camera shop.

I like the idea of getting the original. That way you can have it printed in what size you want, as often as you want.

Considering the quality of the 'togs we have, and the location, plus sexy models, then $20 is more than reasonable.

In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

    No watermarks or anything.

You'd get the image as it came of the camera.

No post processing? I hope the guys are shooting RAW and that's the image file you get if its straight from the camera?

If you'd like the RAW file, I'm sure if you asked them they could shoot in RAW for you if they weren't already.
(Most people wouldn't know what to do with a RAW file.)

I shoot all my stuff in RAW (.NEF for me), and you'd be welcome to that if you wanted it. They'd take a LONG time to e-mail, though.

I'd definately pay $10/20. I wont vote in the E.O.I though because I'm not 100% sure I am going to be able to make it down.

I understand tht most peeps wouldn't know about them, but I know from doing photography myself that you dont always get the exposure/white balance/etc right so with statements like straight from the camera just wanted to know that was backup to the shot that can be fixed.

Oh and $20 is fine if you do some not but a lot of post processing.

I'm trying to keep the wording of the EOI simple so it is easy to follow.
Post processing would be at the discretion of the photographer.
The motivation probably influenced by the donation.

If you're keen your photography you'd be more than welcome to take the photo's of your bike yourself. (Same donation to MAD still applying.)

Good idea - provided the models dont mind!?

I would def pay $20 to go to MAD, but I would just recommend a donation Minimum? Maybe $10 - $20 for those who wouldnt be able to fork out the extra?

    Just an idea.

Would be awesome to get a 1m wide canvas of my CB for the garage

Easy there big fella, just asking the questions, given that it a low cost photo shoot thats why I asked if there would be post processing or not.

The photogs are giving their time for free so may not be inclined to sit there and go thru each photo and make it 'pop'.

As for your last comment I'll leave that one alone.

If you want another lens there to take photos I would be more than happy to give up my time
