I went through 14 speed traps today, one of which went flash when i was going about 10kmh over
fuck i hate the way they targeted this thing with speed cameras and not just police with radar guns!
stinks of revenue raising![]()

Congratulations, by speed camera logic you are now immortal.
Life saving devices people, life savers.
Well I only saw one speed camera on the way up, whats its matter? Bike dont have a front numberplate anyway
FastMyAss
I saw one of the two on the way to the meet point in Parkerville. Then there was another one between Mundaring and Sawyers Valley and then another one just before Bakers Hill and another one just before Northam.
It pissed me off so much that they were targeting this ride that I don't want to participate ever again. At least not to Northam anyway.
I understand that the speed limits are enforced but to have such a heavy presence on what is supposed to be a charity ride I think is over the top. I gave the majority of my attention to my speedo instead of the environment around me.
If I see even one multanova on the toy run next week, I am peeling off and there will be no toy for the little kiddies and I will not participate in a charitable ride ever again.
It's this kind of behaviour that makes me thankful somebody in road safety cares enough about my wellbeing to place these speed traps in vital, safety enhancing locations to keep me and my family in one piece.
By this, I mean it makes me want to curb-stomp camera operators and spit on every fucker wearing a blue tax-collectors uniform.
Yeh they were a few out there today, didn't realt count.
One thing that strikes me odd is that you guys are surprised that there were so many cameras out there.
out of order

I spotted 6 on the way. Not all on our side of the road though. Another member I spoke to says he spotted 7. I wonder how many cameras were left to patrol all the other roads where people mite be speeding? The police wanted us to not exceed 100km/h and our group pretty much didn't. So with 110 the posted limit for most of it I would say our group was reasonably safe.
i think i saw 4 or 5. Got flash'd in a pack by one on the way back...bout 90 in an 80 me thinks.
Yeah, saw far too many speed cameras there, mostly on the way home - all of them set up to catch the odd rider momentarily doing a few km over. None that I saw were set up anywhere that could be considered hazardous or worthy of a speed camera.
I didn't see anyone riding in a manner that could be considered dangerous today, but I'm sure a few riders will be getting fines.
As Cam says, it pisses me off to no end. Especially given that the police recently claimed that cameras would only be placed in known black spots - a load of crap.
Really added a bitter note to what was otherwise a great day.

Einen Kraftstoff wie Benzin
Fuck.
The.
Police.
If I ever go to another large organsied ride, charity or otherwise, then my number plate for the day will be a piece of acrylic with 'ka-ching' spray painted on it. I couldn't get over the blatent targetting. So much for a bit of amnesty for charity. In one day I've gone from a guy with no real beef with the cops to thinking "it's them and us, and they are the enemy".
Someone at the ride, his name was J-something, has had a very expensive day, and it wasn't from buying raffle tickets.
saw one on the way there and one on the way back but someone said there was a rear facing one on the way up but i never saw it
from where i got told it was i think i was doing the speed limit
maybe all the fines they get for the week end if that who they targeted should go to mad
If they find satisfaction in getting a couple of hundred from people, and in doing so have caused that person to avoid all charity rides for the next forty years, preventing possibly thousands of dollars from being donated, then let them have their little victory.
Ultimately, fines and even points are a temporary inconvenience. Discontent is a far more permanent condition.
the thing that bugged me the most was not the police being there. they could have had 14 cops sitting on the side of the road with blow dryers enforcing the law with a litle common sense for all i cared. it was the fact that i had to constantly taking my eyes of the road to check my speedo as i was worried about going 10 kmh over (which is sweet fuck all) and getting pinged by a multinova!
dont forget that there was a lot of other people going up there that were in no way involved with the MAD ride.
hmmm, heard of someone with a name that starts with a "T" who's gonna have a very expensive weekend to add to his expensive week to come.
i heard there was 9 camera's on the road yesterday, but not sure id that was both ways, or just one way. i only counted 5 myself on the way up.
"I think she's kinda sweet...but she makes her living catching cum in her mouth and i'm sensing that's a problem with you"
NO one can say that it is justified mate BUT what can you/will you do????
