MAD Raffle. Paypal says MAD cant receive $$$

Just tried to purchase tickets using the paypal link on the MAD website. I get a message saying "This recipient is currently unable to receive money". Any ideas?

Nath's a little bit inured today after a fight with a quad. But i do know he's working on resolving this with paypal.

Just a bit of an issue that we are sorting out now. Paypal has changed their policies and now regard the activity as gambling. We are getting it sorted as quickly as bureaucratically possible.

Let's hope they don't go down the usual path of refunding everyone and forcing them to use alternate methods to purchase tickets...

It should be sorted soon. We have used paypal for years, and for this to happen all of a sudden is a bit dissapointing.

Just an update..

We are working with our bank to get their merchant service up and running, unfortunately this will take some time.

The options you have currently are as follows;

- In person - email info@madride.org and I can let you know some physical pickup locations such as Qzar, upcoming MCRCWA evets, and shopping centers.
- Over the phone - We can process manual credit card payments.
- Online when we have sorted out the new payment gateway.

i paid through paypal, but am happy to wait for ticks...i presume its just a time factor, not a paypal arent coming to the party factor

Paypal aren't coming to the party. We are setting up online merchant facilities through the bank which takes time. As soon as it is setup we will let you know. Sorry for the inconvenience but we are doing everything possible to make this happen.

My bank account says paypal debited me $20 on the 23rd, did this still go through,
or are paypal hanging onto my money?

All good guys, our account has been restored to normal standing with PayPal so all transactions to date are ok, your tickets will be posted ASAP.

We will not be selling tickets via PayPal again though, sales will resume once our new payment gateway is established.
