    MAD Ride feedback

    Good afternoon kids.

The MAD committee are asking everyone who went on the ride to let us know their feedback from the day.
    What did we get right?
What did we do not so good at?
Are there any aspects of the ride or meet that you thought could/should have been done differently?
For those of you that didnt attend, why not?
What could we have done to change that?
Any suggestions for next years ride?

All feedback positive or negative is welcomed.

    browncow.

Had a great time, amenities and facilities all very good. Carpark @ Toodyay not so flash though, too many bikes for pea gravel but a small concern. The only downer really, and this was beyond your control, were the morons doing warp factor 10 and riding like fools on the way back down the hill after the ride. These clowns give us all a bad reputation and have no respect for either themselves or anyone else. They should stay well away from events like Mad Ride.

Being my first M.A.D ride i thought it was great.

Those bits of plastic for the side stands were brilliant, also a lot of volunteers running about helping which was great.

No complaints cept for the crappy weather, out of your control obviously.

Well done to the committee, I know how hard it is as projects go to organise, the staged runs were a great idea for traffic flow etc, and it was grerat to see so many gathered at the one location, couldn't fault the other end, parking was fine even if on pea gravel, weather well that just made for fun riding home, and a nice level of cool.

Well done to one and all.

After a slight hiccup with the first group (touring Stratton was sorta nice) who were broken up a bit by some peeps being a bit slow to realise it was time to go I found it all wonderful. Even getting drowned on the way home was not unpleasant and I was dry when I got home and hit the pool to cool off more. Yes, there were a few dicks but hey arent there always?

    Well done organisers.

They're always good, and it's nice to mix them up a bit. A metro run will appeal to some people, and not others - and vice versa. I guess, though, if you're chasing numbers in order to raise money then it would be best to stick with metro runs. I could be wrong, but wasn't the last non-metro MAD Ride less well attended? This is something that you can't do anything about, but I was really disappointed to see people joining the ride from various points along the route - presumably so they wouldn't have to 'pay'.

Did not attend due to conflict with Kings race meeting.

Even with the discount for MAD ride participants, those who I've spoken to who went to both events did not get to Kings until about 2pm, missing half the racing.

Suggest if future scheduling has both events on the same day or weekend, have the MAD ride finish up at or near Kings event, mutually beneficial to both events.
    Not for individual sale.

Id have to say one of my favourite parts of the day was before the ride itself. I enjoyed being at the oval and meeting new people. Has it ever been done where the ride does a big loop and comes back to the start point ?? Just a thought could have a MAD Festival similiar to the one in toodyay.

I personally didnt have any problems the rain slowed things down abit but was a good day all up for me.

I would recommend joining forces WITH MCRC and utilising both your strengths and manpower to make both events combine. Its in MADs interest and MCRC for the numbers. More numbers for both events means $$$...and the so on and so forth. Both events require a heap of manpower, and getting volunteers is a hard task. Which I know both events require a lot of. As many know Ive volunteered for MAD for a few years running, And Ive also volunteered my time in the office at MCRC...so Ive seen both sides of the fences for both events. If you combine your manpower, its going to be an easier task to manage. And it ensures these two fantastic events keep turning over good profits year in year out without burning out the good people who keep both events going.

Didn't make it cos I'm out in Newman helping BHPB meet it's demand for iron ore. I still doubt I would have gone on this year's ride, though, as I'm not a fan of the country route. I prefer the start point being Shenton as that was/is one of the major beneficiaries of MAD. I understand that the effort involved in creating something like what we used to have at Scarborough is prohibitive, both in terms of cost and labour, but I found that more enjoyable.

Great day in all, wouldnt change a thing, My personal congrats to all involved. Feedback as follows; curry sausages at the sausage sizzle, more promo girls, louder P.A, more nurses - possibly in uniform, hotter and more humid for the benefit of the wet t-shirt participants, psb stall selling merch as well with a % of sales to M.A.D

Next years destination point should be the convention centre (hopefully)
This Toodyay festival of the motorcycle was purely put on to give MAD a venue to finnish the ride and a show to be enjoyed.
Luckily this year's layed on event turned out to be a success and yet again showed Premiere Events, that PSB-MAD is a powerfull force in the Motorcycle industry with a worthwhile charity as a beneficiary.
Lots of planning, effort and money was spend this year by a few to bring this event, including Premiere Events and MAD commity.
MAD and PSB would be unwise to not continue to seak a close working relationship with the major events orginisation; Premiere Events!
    A win-win outcome for both!
Just my take on the matter!

A couple of tiny things seemed a little unorganised (sorry) but there was so much to do and I know everyone had so much going on. Everyone worked really hard and I tip my hat to you all!!! A little disappointed with the attitude of a couple of people. So no major issues! Some things couldn't be helped (weather) but most didn't seem to mind that either! Overall I think it worked out to be a great day! Everyone enjoyed it! I think it was a good route (nice and simple) good start point and end point! Agree maybe if it wasn't the same day as Kings maybe more would have come too - but I don't have any background info so I'm sure there would have been a good reason!

Having been on every MAD ride so far I can say that the metro ones are far more of an event to behold. The meeting point is always good fun where ever it is, but seeing a procession of bikes going down the road as far as the eye can see is awesome. And it obviously gives more public visibility of bikes doing responsible things for a good cause. Last sunday I was riding in a group of maybe 10-15 people, couldn't see anyone else. So the actual ride itself was a bit of a non-event for me.

Rides that end at a MAD/PSB event are more enjoyable to me than one that just merges in to someone else's larger event.

Otherwise, it was great as usual. Kudos to all involved, I imagine it's a lot of hard work. I really enjoy the event, so looking forward to next year.

You're doing it wrong. You're supposed to make eleventy billion polls and then sticky them.

I loved the ride. It's the best MAD ride I've been to so far

I was in a group of about 7,going to Toodyay,so not really an 'event ride',as shown in the Gidge pics. Was great at Stratton, meeting new peeps. Noteworthy with regard to a recent thread,on the way home via Julimar, every bike gave me a nod or wave!
Finishing nearer metro centre could be better, but no big deal. All in all,a great day,and glad I made the effort, big ups to the organisers.

my first M.A.D ride, really enjoyed and thought it was well organized. was looking forward to seeing the never ending row of bikes down the road but appreciate the flowing nature of having smaller groups leaving apart from each other. will definitely be at the next ride

the ride itself was good, though if you make bigger group just as the run to scarborough beach few years back is much more enjoyable.
the only downside for me is the actual show in toodyay. nothing really there to see. we went to the cafe and waited almost an hour for a serve of chips.
but the police involvement is much appreciated.
