MADride 2010 general volunteer ( not ride marshal ) thread

Sorry about the long winded thread title

This thread is primarily for those of you wonderful people who have volunteered to help out with this year's ride, and would like to help out " on the ground " so to speak.

I would like to personally thank you for putting your hand up to help out, without people like you we would not be able to get the ride past its planning stages.

My hope for this thread is that the members of the committee who are organising the non riding aspects of the event can let you people know what sort of tasks require your help, and from your responses get an idea of the number of people they will have available to help out on the day, or possibly even in the pre event organising.

As in the ride marshal thread, your ideas, suggestions and input into discussions is extremely welcomed.

    Thanks Guzzi

The list of volunteers is quite long, so this is most helpful

Potato and I are sorting out the oval and helpers, so if you have done a paticular job before or are willing to just help out anywhere, please let us know

Like Guzzi, I would also like to thank you, the volunteers for the valuable assistance that you provide. This helps MAD to continue run this ride along with the other events each year, and we really can't do this with out you...

Does anyone know if there are any cars or vans going up on the day, as my wife volunteered to help but does not have a way of getting to Toodyay and back to Stratton. She would really like to be involved.

I can be counted here also as my bike's not super happy with me atm.
I can help set up, or tear down. Before, after, during, whatever is needed.

If I win lotto next weekend I could marshal too, however I've got as much chance of winning lotto as I would hittin a roo at lunch time.....

There will be a few four wheeled vehicles going up to Toodyay, some before the ride to set up in toodyay and some behind the ride after clearing the oval.

I will put some thought towards the best way to match empty seats to people needing a lift.

There are quite a few people who offered their services to help set up the oval as well as marshalling.

Can you guys or girls also post here so that I know how many people we have, and can start to have a think about allocating jobs?

    Thanks muchly!

I have the weeks before & after the ride off, plus a small dual-cab ute, so can run stuff around as required.

Setup & marshalled last year, can First Aid this year too.

    Let me know.

    Cheers.
