I really don't know I can thank you all properly for the time and effort you all put in yesterday to make the MAD ride the success it was.
A number of you went out of your way before during and after the event to ensure things ran smoothly and it certainly showed.
I have already received a number of congratulations on the smooth running and professionalism of the event and for that I owe you all a debt of gratitude.
When I left Shents there was a marquee and a couple of cars, when I returned there was a hive of activity and that unmistakable feel only the spiritual home of MAD can produce, I remember holding my breath for a second as I turned into the car park and first saw the rows of bikes under the clearing sky.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to see a great deal of the ride from the front, but going through seeing all the posted photos of perfectly staggered riders with marshals leading the way, I can't help but get a little emotional.
For those involved in the cloakroom and parking at the convention centre, things got a little bit hectic with the record crowds overwhelming the facilities, you guys did a great job of working with the resources you had and thinking outside the box to make things work.
Massive thanks from the entire MAD committee, you have truly done yourselves proud and we hope you will join us for more fun next year.
Look out for a thank you function in the near future I hope you can all attend so we can reiterate our thanks a little more personally.
Thanks and regards,
Nathan Alberti
MAD Chairman
