Question Meet time at Shents and other duties expected

Sorry if it's been posted somewhere and I can't find it... thought a thread might be good to summarise, anyway.

    • Where at Shenton Park and what time would you want us there?
    • Pre-ride briefing? I would have to assume so due to having to figure out numbers, plan to circle back, grabbing a vest, etc.
    • Aside from just leading to the Perth bike show, maintaining a steady (legal) speed and riding sedately (no FNR!) what else might be expected of us?

    Cheers

Hey, that was your fault because you were running in your bike. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Parking for Marshalls is on the Basketball courts at Shents. Off to one side, unless you are the first ones there, someone will be there to tell you where to go.

Helping with the parking as the bikes rock up, handing out stand blocks, etc.

0730 was the last time I heard bantering around.

Ride safely, no overtaking, etc as per Flamedance's thread.
If there is an accident, call K-Tec, keep the ride flowing, and assist as best possible.

When you get to the end, you will need to lead the bikes down the track matting (unless we need you to loop back) and follow the parking marshals directions to lead the bikes up to parking. Then Marshalls to move through to park up in a spot on the one side.

Please then assist with marshalling the parking. We need to make sure people keep on the track matting, and do not ride through or park in damaged areas that will be marked off.

Some time between 7 and 8 is fine, any later and punters will already be arriving.

Yes, marshalls to park on the basketball court, in orderly rows please.

Briefing will happen on the day, mostly via written handouts

I seriously doubt the looping back will happen. By the time the ride arrives at PCC, Shents will be empty.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.
