R class Learner Shadows required for the MAD ride 2008

Hiya, can you please post in here if you are able to shadow an R class Learner on the MAD ride. (Note - Please state waht suburbs you are willing to pick up from, or can pass through on your way to the meet point)

Alternatively if you need a shadow, please post in here as well and we'll try and match you up with someone. (Note - Please state your Suburb if you don't have it in your profile)

Stoneville, I can't see there being any issues but if you have any special requirements from the MAD committee at the meet point etc.. just let us know.

Beechboro isn't too far from me, I have a mate who is eligible coming from Northern Perth. So either he or I can collect you if you wish.

I would love a shadow, i'm still on my learners. Mt Helena is my Location which is about 10 minutes away from Parkerville. It would kind of be double back though if your coming up the hill from Midland.

Important Information for any Learner Riders attending the MAD Ride 2008

I would like to remind all learner riders that this years MAD Ride is not suitable for Novice or 250 Learner riders. Travelling in a large group of riders at speeds of 80 k/ph or more requires a large amount of concentration and experience and the MAD Ride commitee and WA Police force would hate for any inexperinced riders to cause themselves or others an injury or worse.

We still welcome your participation in the ride, and I am sure there are plenty of pillion seats available for those riders who fall into this category. Please, think seriously about what the MAD Ride involves if you are a new rider and consider finding another way to participate in MAD 2008.

    Thanks for your consideration.

Yes. The police expressed concerns with large numbers of novice riders attending the ride.

MAD ride doesn't happen without the assistance and advice of the WA Police Force, and this is a suggestion from them which has the MAD Ride Commitee's full support.

R Class learner riders who are confident in their riding ability are certainly still welcome to attend the ride, and we leave it to each riders own judgement as to whether they are capable of doing the ride on the machine they have for the day.
