So I was around talking to my tenant the other day who happens to work the phones for the emergency services.

He told me that during the ride up to scarborough for MAD, they received about 10 calls from motorists that were either concerned that there were a lot of motorbikes on the road... or that they had to wait too long to get through an intersection!

Can you believe it? 000! Cos they had to wait a couple of minutes.

These people should be charged a flat rate of $100 for stupidity.

Even more reason for next year having those scooters spread out on the ride with posters saying something like
"thankyou for waiting - this is for charity yada yada, see you at scarbs."

... that and the police to stick around a little longer so not only do the riders stay together on the same road, but also so the public can see its an organised and "official" ride.
