Important thing to remember is that you don't have to be a member of PSB to be part of MAD. So if you have mates that love scooters or bikes or anything registered and motorised with 2 or 3 wheels, tell them about the ride and the raffle bike and help us to get as many people involved in this charity.

Thanks GHETTO, If you're in this thread, you may also be wondering who MAD is? Basically, we’re a group of motorcycling enthusiasts and riders trying to raise money for spinal cord research and in the past have worked closely with Royal Perth Hospital Shenton Park Spinal ward 11 and the Eileen Bond Spinal Research Centre - formerly known as REDS Spinal Cord Research Laboratory U.W.A. Last year we ran a ride from Royal Perth’s Shenton Park campus to The CBD for the Perth Motorcycle and Scooter show, and the year before from Mundaring to the Northam Motorcycle Festival and previous rides have even seen MAD throw a show at the beach..
Throughout the year we run other events, like the annual PSB/MAD Bikini Bike Wash, and the MAD Quiz night, both of which are a lot of fun, as everyone who has been will no doubt tell you.. This year we intend to ride to the Avon Valley Motorcycle Festival, being held on the second last weekend (21st) of November in Toodyay.

The other major attraction of MAD for riders is the MAD bike. Every year the creative boffins of the MAD Committee, conspire and scheme and then go into lockdown. Sometimes, no one hears from them for months at a time as they put together a one off custom, bike. In 2006 a beautiful Casey Stoner Race Replica. The next year, an amazing Casey Stoner Ducati (still owned; and kept in his living room, by PSB's Crumpetman) Moto GP replica, 2008 saw a change of tack, with a full racing package including leathers, pit crew gear, trackdayz sessions and of course, the Angry Bee, 600cc of lap time shredding beauty to tear up the track on. Last year's bike was, again, something special. A one off Rossi replica of a design that was featured in the Paddock of the 2007 Valencia Moto GP, with more bling than you can poke a gyroscopic camera at.

What have we got in store for this year?

Well... That's a secret, but because we're MAD we'll let you in on it... Just come to the Como Hotel on Saturday at 6PM, and you can not only see the once off wonder that we've created, but also buy tickets to win the thing!

Tickets will be available for purchase online from the website soon (after saturday night when the prize is revealed) and at some selected places to be finalised soon. Don't worry, we will let everyone know where they can get tickets as soon as everything is finalised this week.

Just show up on the day. There will be marshalls to show you where to park and direct you to the area to pay your registration.
