1989 gpx - $1650

Hey there lads n lasses

I'm putting up for sale my GPX250, aged like fine wine from 1989

I've had her for about a year, i knew its previous owner was about to let her sit and deteriorate so i threw a lowball offer, and viola! Another addition to the shed. She ran, but needed the carbs cleaned of dried fuel, fuel tank and lines flushed and fresh oil and filters. She's had two services while in my care, every six months, with K+N filters. For that little bit of extra performance.
Since then she's had about 2000km put on her, by friends and learners, including a run down to margaret river and back. Didn't miss a beat, and still does extra-legal speeds without complaint.

Never been dropped while in my care, and the fairings are unmarked and no major scrapes or dings on mufflers, so i only assume its never been down. 42125km on her, and although i cant guarantee thats genuine, i have no reason to doubt it.

PROS:
Fresh rear rubber
New battery (2 months ago)
New front and rear sprockets, and chain

CONS:
- Brake fluid could do with flush.
- Ding in the tank. Its on the top, and hasn't scratched the paintwork, so its not from a drop or crash. It looks for all the world like someone's gotten pissed off while riding (see next point) and given it a solid thump.
- Has a tendency to surge at idle, or idle high after warming up. This can be adjusted on the fly with the idle control knob, but does get a bit wearing after a while and has a tendency to give a rider the shits in stop-start traffic. May be an easy fix, not sure.

No, there's not, tho i can have a look n see if there's any marks on the paint if it's been removed...where exactly would it be?

Bike is now in the quokka as well. Had some views but the idling issue has turned people off.
