    2000 Kawasaki ZX9-R **Sold**

For those who don't know the bike, I'm a maintenance nazi and religious with fixing any item that looks like requiring attention in the near future. The bike is serviced before its due and I have exchanged filters with every oil change.

My reason for selling is that I want a bike with more power, simply, I have got used to the zx9. I am selling the bike with no known issues.

$5,000 or nearest reasonable offer....here's what you get:

    - Motor is not original, installed a "newer" one with 55,000 on the clock, all paperwork has been done with DPI so its all legal. Odometer reads 63,000 as I kept this untouched.
    - K&N filter
    - Iridium sparks
    - Now has wave rotors on front
    - Front brake calipers and master cylinder have been rebuilt
    - "Opi" custom exhaust
    - Pazzo short levers
    - Oggy knobs - custom fit (not the ebay cheapies)
    - Front rotor sliders (oggies for the front wheel)
    - Sprocket 16/42 with approx 30% wear, chain same 530
    - + 4 degrees iginition retard fiited, I can fit standard if you don't like the power range.
    - After market rear hugger - colour coded to the bike.

Ring me on 0405 683 036 with any enquiries. Bike is located in Rockingham.

Yeah I low sided at Barbs in group one *high fives no one*. I documented the rebuild which was fairing only damage, but I thought of getting rid of the green/purple theme. I have photographs of the complete face lift includes powder coating the wheels, new bearings, sprocket, chain etc etc all done smicko. Could have repaired for $580, but managed to spend $3296 on it, no regrets - it was a welcome face lift.

The motor, I pulled up in Pinjarra on a ride not long ago and thought that I had done a bottom end. Stumbled across a replacement motor without fully diagnosing the issue first. Swapped the motor out (full documented with pics) and then went to work on the old one to find that the clutch basket was broken....priceless....Good thing is that the motor I put in was younger in klms and in Engine number. Cleaner head etc etc, runs like a new one I still have the original motor, but it does not form part of the sale, if interested, it will be a separate negotiation.

If you are interested in the rebuild or the engine swap, I can email you the details/photographs etc in step by step history, its just on another site.

Love your bike, and would buy it if I could afford a second one right now. Good luck with the sale.

Have you taken a busa for a ride yet? You won't regret it! I have always been a kwaka girl till I test rode the busa. Love that machine! We just want a second bike since we both ride and also something to do some track days on. One day in the not too distant future I hope....

Yep, mate has an 04. I originally went from a 1991 honda cb1000f to the zx9, so the busa didn't feel "big". Never know....

The old motor requires a new clutch basket and it cracked IMO due to poor installation by a local dealer as I had issues with the old clutch as soon as I had the dealer fit the new clutch kit. Whether I pursue the dealer or not, I'll fix the old motor and then onsell as a complete working unit. The old motor has completed about 63000 k's, was not buring oil, no other issues etc etc.

I have an abundance of parts, twin headlights, cdi/ignition modules, fairings etc etc all will sell separately unless an offer is reasonable.
