2001 R1 - Streetfighter

Hi All,

It is finally time to part with the R1. I have had this bike for sale once before, but pulled out as the second gear skipping problem came along (as it does on pretty much all R1's of this era). So as a result of this, I decided to pull the motor out and do some work to it:

-Undercut gears 1-6.
-New shift forks, rods, bearings etc.
-All new gaskets, seals, o-rings done.
-Headgasket replaced.
-Valve clearences checked (perfect).

So anyway, I have had this bike for about 4 years now, and have a genuine reason for selling. It is very unique and there is no other bike like it out there, and it certainly gets some looks.

Some of the mods:
Remus pipe
Pazzo levers
Braided brake lines
-1 sprocket on the front
K&N air filter

The ride? Well its mental as all R1's of this year are, and its extremely fun to ride with the riser bars.

I am confident that anyone who comes to see this bike will be very happy with the standard of the work done on it. This bike was NOT built on the cheap and it shows.

Any chance it has STD parts? Fairings, bars, rear fender, etc?

Or was it a crashed build?

Possibly to far away from getting money, but very interested if it hangs about for a few week.

Has got a few standard parts but not many. It wasnt a crash build. But for example the bottom fairing was cut and modified to suit the fighter look and some other parts were modified too so theres not much left of the standard parts, but i do have the clip-ons, top yoke and all that sorta stuff.
