2001 yz250f

time for an upgrade so here is my yz250f
2001 with a 2003 head(previous owner changed) but didnt change the decomp cam.
still has manual decomp lever

- tyres are bridgestone m404 1 ride old front and rear with new rim lock on rear also.
- fork seals and oil need changing
- has done little work over last 4 years between two owners(probably less than 30 hrs) and had the valve clearance checked 2 year ago.
- probably could use a good look over, tune and another clearance check.
- new blue/white plastics mostly allround
- just put on sticker kit(minus one side panel i lost somewhere)
- has small amount of discoloration around motor and exhaust is a bit rusted up but nothing detrimental.to be expected for an older bike.
- almost full set of black plastic spare, 2 air filters( cleaning as i type) and i think a spare oil filter somewhere.
- hours unknown

This might sound like a silly question, but what do you mean 2003 head and manual decomp lever?

My mate might be interested for a second YZ for that price.

The 03 has a auto decomp on the cam to help when starting i.e you just kick, on the 01/02 you have to find TDC before you can kick and use the decomp lever on the handle bars.

Thanks marty, spot on there. Although you don't HAVE to use decomp it just makes it easier

Am at work till the 21st but keen for the bike.. what would be bottom dollar for it ? for the right price will just get some one to pick it up for me..

Seriously noone wants a dirt cheap dirty? I thought this wouldn't have lasted ten minutes at this price.
Just for comparison average bike is going for 3-3.5k on bikesales.
