these are a bit more upright than the CBR1000's yeah?

thinking it is a bit too much of a step up after the 250 for me.

Na they ain't mate there a good step up bike plenty of power to play with but light and easy controlling makes it good for the corners only thing u have to get use to is the instant power delivery which ain't that hard really and it will put a nice big smile on your face

The 'bars are above the top clamp with a small rise to their shape - so more relaxed ergo's than the 600/1000R, yes.
The power delivery is early and strong, but without the top end rush of the fours...

So many questions, so little time, hence:
    FAQ:

Q: What is your lowest price?
    A: For you, $25,000.

    Q: How many km's to a tank?
A: If you cut the tank into a strip a couple of microns wide, the tank would stretch about 1.3 times around the world.

Q: When was it last serviced?
A: I don't like this bike in a sexual way.

Q: Has the bike ever been raced?
A: Yes. This very machine won the 2008 Senior TT and a couple of rounds of the WSB circuit the same year.

Q: Can i test ride it?
A: Sure, can i borrow your sister while you're out?

Q: How does it compare to an ABZ973
A: It's faster, more nimble, offers significantly improved economy, doesn't emit any hydrocarbons at all, and was once voted the most desirable form of transportation. Ever.

Q: Would you take a deposit?
A: Refer 'Can i test ride it' above.

Q: What is the top speed?
A: Go and fuck yourself (and can i test ride your sister?)

    Looking at this -
    Is it OK for a (relatively) short-ass? I'm 1m70cm.

thanks for the Q & A. I was going to shame myself by asking for a test ride when i was in perth at end of this week, and hopefully leaving an 50% deposit (if the bike met my expectations post test ride, of course) until i could pick it up next week as i handed over the balance, however seeing the price is now out of my reach, I wont waste either of our times. If your policy on test rides (and price and deposits) changes, please let me know via PM as I would love to have your bike on my short list.

your welcome to my sister though, she's in Darwin and looking for her third husband, but not before trying to lose all the weight the birth of her fourth child gave her.

    my Q and A:
Q: will you buy my bike without test riding it?
A: fuck no, but have you met my sister.....

    Nope.
Everything's too small for long day runs... got any thoughts big guy?
Thing is, i don't want to punt a fucking tourer through corners, but can't see myself on a hypersport bike for +800km days either.

Looked at any of the newer naked litre bikes (Z1000/CB1000)?
New bike power with better ergos than the supersports.

I actually thought you had been looking the RC8.
