    Ducati 748 spark plug tool

Meant to come with the tool kit but alas when I bought the bike it never had one. Attempted to make my own but it's slipping so if you have one spare or you dont mind lending for an afternoon I would greatly appreciate either. Send us a PM or sms 0401 904 427

Had a chuckle to myself when I found at that the ones supplied in the tool kit with the 996 from the factory never fitted....!!!...Grab yourself a decent deep socket from AutoPro or the likes?

Haha Ahh Ducati strikes again. Nothing fits even the motorcycle specific 18mm spark plug tool.

Doesn't fit how? Socket too wide for hole in head? Deep socket not deep enough?? Socket doesn't fit plug??

You new a thin walled, long spark plug socket. Can't remember if it's 18mm or not.

Hey cheers number plate managed to get it done at Frasers in the end. Just out of curiosity how much did you have to shave off your 18mm socket? And what brand did you buy (thickness varies between brands that's all)? Boys at Frasers said it's the only way to get at the spark plugs.

I use mostly kinchrome, but for that one its a spark plug tool out of an old dirt bike kit, which are already pretty thin but iv filed down the outsides of it further, and welded a nut on the top of it so i can get to it with an extension and a socket. So its sorta custom made, but it works very well One of many handmade like that i have. Glad you got it sussed, yeah they are right, needs to be just the right tool for it, nothing off the shelf at repco or supercheap is going to fit it

I used to need to do the same for my ZXR and then use one of those magnets on a telescopic stick to get the plug out afterwards
Oh and needing to just about dismantle the top of the bike in the process (slight over exaggeration) but it was a pain.
