Motocorse clutch cover to suit Ducati

I bought this on eBay and picked it up while in the US, turns out its the 38mm one that suits a slipper clutch? Anyone want it for $100 before I return it? Comes with a gasket and apparently is used but looks like new to me. According to eMoto - Ducati - Moto Corse Clutch Covers they are AUD$280 new.

I tried to fit it to my Hypermotard with a standard clutch but the springs contacted the cover. The advert says it will fit any Ducati dry clutch but fails to mention there are two types, for slipper (38mm) and standard (44mm), I only found that bit out after downloading an online catalogue. If it does work out for you I'll take it back.

Agrid - there are spacer kits available for this. Here's a couple of links to the TPO website (I can highly recommend these guys):

That's worth a look thanks. I suppose I could use the spacers on the new cover, there's only 6mm difference between in and the one for the standard clutch. Something gives me a bad feeling about how strong it will be but then if I drop the bike I will have more to worry about than a $100 clutch cover. After about 10,000km the clutch got noisy and grabby when hot, cleaning the plates fixed it so I thought an open cover might help.

kind of you, but I suspect I'll have the same issues.

Two covers with a 6mm difference, I wonder why they bother with that.

The billet EVR cover that I fitted to my 1198 cleared the springs, but not by much. I've since replaced the OEM clutch with an EVR slipper & there's quite a difference in clearance. Here's a couple of pics - not the easiest to see, but you can see the difference in the spring heights / pressure plates:

The OEM clutch with an EVR vented pressure plate (the cover sat so close that it actually interfered with the springs - I had to use the original cover rubber seal to give about 3 mm of clearnace:

And the EVR slipper (without the original seal, there's about 15mm clearance on the pressure plate - the springs sit almost flush with the plate):
