i've tried on a 34" alpine stars pair, but were way too tight
i'm normally a 34" for jeans though

are they generally one size up from pant size?

Probably will be too small for you. If you were a small 34" you might squeeze into these.

Whats really crazy is you would think all sizing would be the same. An inch is an inch, right?
