1988 Toyota Supra GA70 *CHEAP - $1500***

Hey guys,

This is my brothers car. He left 2 or 3 months ago interstate and left it to me to sell. I've been a bit lazy selling it. It was originally going up for 4.5k but driving it the other day i've discovered the turbos are playing up and its blowing smoke.

I have no idea what the problem is, I don't know much about cars, could be simple could be not. The rego is also due by Feb 9th.

Considering these 2 things and the fact I am sick of it being in the driveway $1500 CASH and it's yours. No haggling just $1500 bucks. Call me on 0415 115 038. I'm in Sorrento.

Guessing seals are gone on the turbos

Yeah, original thought was valve stem seals gone but it doesn't smoke on start-up so more likely to be turbo seals. Strange though as the turbo's were overhauled by united fuel injection at the start of last year so you would think they would be OK?

The drive home was fun- smoking very badly, was ok on the freeway but as soon as you start to slow down/ take off, she blew smoke everywhere!

I did knock it back to start with but figured it was worth a look. If it gets beyond me/ i loose interest i will let you know. Its a great base for a project, the suspension and exhaust alone are well worth it, and the previouse owner has spent alot of $ maintaining it. The records i have are very comprehensive, proves that there are other people out there that keep every receipt for every vehicle like me!

could also be valve stem seals.. ? would be cheaper and easier than turbos
