Didgeridoo- Yirdaki
I have few didgeridoos for sale but didn't want to waste time loading photos and posting them up if no one was interested in this type of thing.
First up is one of Djalu's [Djalu Gurrawiwi] Yirdaki.
It is about 10 years old and has probably been played for about 37 seconds! [I'm THAT good].
It was carved specifically by him , not his wife or son , so is an original. They were made famous by the band Yothu Yindi who used them exclusively before they become world famous as concert pipes
He has long retired, so they are very collectable. [if you are into them]
Comes with cloth cover and stand.
The light is bad for photos atm , so this is as close as i can get:

The only difference is that it has no ochre band near the top of the Yirdaki.. [red coloured bit].
'D' note
$500.00
I also have a Styx metallic purple Didg with a silver tip added to he bottom of the bell.
Carved by Robbie Hantleman in Darwin in 1999.
Is meant to be a 'C' with D overtones.
Comes with stand.
I emailed Robbie about 2 weeks ago trying to get info on it as there are none on Google. He said that all his files were lost in a cyclone [ true story bro
], and there are no photos left.
There were about 10 metallic units made , and 2 were purple from memory. This was custom ordered and uses natural Arnhem hardwood, not cheaparse Indo bamboo.
Will post up photos if anyone is interested , or send them from my iphone.
$500.00
PM me for any more info like dimensions, weights ect.
I am selling them well below value as they living beings and are just sitting on their stands when they are meant to be played and handled [like your women
].
Will miss them if they go. If there is no interest , then I will put them back to sleep and they will stay with me...
Cheers
