    Graes private motocross track

Well after the Toodyay fire went through our property and took out the fences my neighbour kindly brought his earth moving equipment over and made a motocross track for us last week.

Some pics of my daughters first bike riding experience.

Now how do I tell Mrs Lin I need a bigger bike? The jumps are bigger than the bike.

I teach my daughter how to ride!

    Thats better

My Neighbours have a full blown track with massive jumps so no worries on that side. I think this is the reason I got the property at a good price LOL. I am replacing the fence with a FIRE ACCESS gate to their track!!

The other neighbour hates bikes but is seldom there so all works out. Unfortunely the house behind us went in the fire.

I think with reasonable use we will not have any problems, the 200cc bike is a bit noisier than the 50cc Honda and 70cc Chinese thing.

A good place for young ones to have some fun and gain skills and maybe a life long interest.

I just want a bike to fit me better I dont seem to be growing into it LOL.

No offence but it always amazes me when people ride mini bikes with no riding gear,,,, it often ends badly,,, one; adults are badly weight proportioned, every one thinks little bikes are harmless, ergos are ridicules with arms getting caught in ya legs etc and no helmet,,,,,, how many times have I seen daddy ride off to show the kids how its done only to split open the coconut and give the kid a lesson in,,,,,,,,,,,,,. Again no offence but it not a good example but at least the kids have reasonable gear on. Sorry mate big on riding gear.

Back in the 80ies the KX60 was the most powerful production bike,, ,that was in power to weight ratio and little kids were given them to race,,, wicked,,, seen a few experienced riders / dads eaten by them.
I don’t ride to get to the end, I ride for that moment

Hop scotch, skip rope, tunnel ball & football, all the same to me
If you cant ride it or fuck it, then its not sport

After meeting powerstand Off line and becoming friends I had no wish to leave my original reply on here which was somewhat cynical!
Thanks to him for sorting out things off line and really we are both of a like mind and long term motorcyclists so pleased to say all is good again.

I will just leave it at a light hearted post and lets keep it that way. I have actually met a good bloke because of this so a positive result.

Well if that was you not offended, let's see how this go's

I dont recognise your 40 years of riding experience (8 years as a paid professional), competition MX and road racing or OHS acreditations and am appauled that you dare to use your own judgement in deceiding what you wear when you ride .... on your own private property no less.
Why cant you just tow the line and do what others think is right ? Do you think the government and/or police make up these rules for fun ? No they do it to protect us from ourselves, we are herd animals and should be treated as such
Please stop being the black sheep, get youself in line and stop all of this independant thought and making decisions for yourself immediately.

    Bert
PS, dont forget to apply sunscreen before opening the curtains.
    PPS - I love sarcasm
It's better to be thought stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt

Pure speed in sixth gear on a 5,000 foot straightaway is one thing, but pure speed in third gear on a gravel-strewn, downhill, ess turn is quite another.

    Graelin,
I am not that political so you are safe from Today Tonight & the Welfare, in the interest of safety and a “safety share” I posted this. I hope this post doesn’t become a piss fest and is enjoyed as intended.

Cutting up in the hills is because I am predominately a dirt riders so that vs cutting up the road for roadie or cutting up waves surfer. As a rule when I ride it’s at an event with a club so I back you concerns with riding in the wrong areas.

I know one thing, next time you hop onto a kiddie’s bike you will think about this and I hope the helmet dose its job for you if needed.

I hope anyone else that read this post will also put on a skid lid for innocent rides.

Anyway I hope we can have a beer one day.

No probs PowerStand as long as you can take the pisstake as well all its OK with me. I know the point you are making and dont disagree with your aim.

Yes I am fully into the right gear and promote this where possible so will enjoy a beer with you. Probably will never hop on the bike again as I just tried it before letting daughter on it, and to be first to ride my new track. As you can see it doesnt quite fit me! LOL.

I carry Recreational Trail Bike info to promote sensible riding to those I meet.

You're a disgrace Graelin, now you're talking about drinking and riding.

I SERIOUSLY HOPE YOU DON'T GET YOUR KIDS DRUNK BEFORE YOU PUT THEM ON THOSE DEATH MACHINES!

Won't somebody think of the hungover kids!
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

    This has got to STOP

Now the Church has got involved!!

An Email from "Father Nick Abbit" Who illustrates the evils of motorcycles and alcohol 7.30 Evenings, inviting me to a "Repentance Sermon!"

The "Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Mini Bikes" have now targetted me with a hate campeign.

Thankfully I was not seen in a leather jacket or I would be up for an avalanche of letters from the Animal Welfare lobby!

Seemed a good idea at the time NOT!

I have allways supported learning to ride off road so good to see kids getting a good start. My daughter got her $200-00 paddock car at 8yrs of age and I must dig out the photo of her in it wearing a crash hat she had from her horse.
