    Wanted - cheap trials bike

I am considering getting a trials bike to ride around my very steep, rugged and wooded block in Toodyay and in this regard wondering if anyone knows of a cheap, basic trials bike for sale anywhere.

    Something like this:

I seem to recall seeing them for sale quite often when I didn't want one and now that I do, I can't find one for sale anywhere!

Nothing in the current bike trader (AMT) at the moment. I'd probably be happy with the Chinese knockoff but wasn't aware the Chinese made trials bikes. Got any links to pics?

Google came up with this -> Buy a Trials Bike but Redtail tells me that he has some other contacts through the club he rides with. I'll PM you his number so you can have a chat with him.

Do you remember the good old days before the internet?

when arguments were only entered into by the physically or intellectually able.

Yes, those are certainly close to what I had in mind. I am on a tight budget however and was hoping for something a bit more 'bunky' (read cheaper) to begin with, but no question, those look pretty schmick.

There will be lots of people willing to fork out a couple of dollars to have a play.
Coincidentally, I've always wanted to take one for a spin
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

I picked one up recently, and all I can say is they are massive fun, but if you go old, parts are really hard to find. I bought a 1999 model Beta Techno, and man it's so much fun just playing around with balance.

They are very hard to find, and you might want to try the local trials clubs as most people don't advertise locally, or at all.

Sold 'coz they are beta than what else is for sale??
This department requires no physical fitness program, as everyone gets more than enough exercise jumping to conclusions, flying off the handle, running down the boss, dodging responsibility, and pushing their luck.
