Hi there! Ive invited myself to join your group because I am "planning to race". At the mo, flagging and beginning racecraft in June as the other spots are full. Meet you soon no doubt
What are you planning to race?
welcome to F2. it's quiet at the moment, as the season starts up, but should be in full swing soon enough. do you have your Official License already?
Not sure yet luke, Im going to talk to Janedoe on sunday after racing so will let you know Thanks alphachild. Nope no license yet.....when I say planning - yep still in the planning stage
if you fail to prepare, then you'd better prepare to fail. (not that i enjoy quoting F1 guys too often, but hey) i never made it to the club day (bad alpha), how did it all go? i saw that janedoe didnt make it out for any of the races (machine trouble?). also, a handful of last year's runners in F2/125GP are MIA (myself included atm)
So when are you planning to be back out there Alpha?
sooner the better. getting the money is the big problem atm. saving up for next round, all the meanwhile trying to pay off other debts. i was in darwin for the first couple months this year (long story, beer required), but i'm back in perth now
being that I am BRAND new, I pmd alpha.ch to find out what can race in F2 coz I didnt want to sound like a .....absolutely green newbie. Im getting an R6 track bike, can that go in F2 ....
There are some very handy knowledgeable people out there - so my decision goes like this. Im going to stay doing trackdays on the r6 and just get used to one bike. (I was looking to get a cbr 400 or janedoes RGV- thats right, shes selling! moving up) but rather than buy her bike or a 400 and have two track bikes and one road bike, makes more sense for me to get used to the big bike for now. F2 - might be looking at it later when I get better at riding.
Glad I posted here- I can see when I started my goal. It has taken me this long, but I GOT MY RACE LICENCE YESTERDAY....one goal down....now for my first race....now I feel worthy to be of your group :-) It has been an amazing year, started off flagging for the club, then got my officials licence, Flagged for all state rounds, then went medical official at the motorgp in phillip island - now have my race licence. If I can do it ANYTHING for ANYONE is possible :-)
