Can you see where those two bullet connector wires end up? (not possibly in a 5W candle bulb or similar?)
edit: Just had another look. Looks like they go straight into the plug, so I'd guess it's a power feed for marker lights or similar. Don't let the plugs touch once you've hooked it up, or you'll be popping fuses.
Can probably lend a hand next week sometime to hook it up. I spent long enough fucking around with mine, that I've got a half-decent clue with it I'm just 'round the corner too. Gimme a yell when it rocks up.

Nah, they go into one of the holes in the bottom of the unit. I'm not fussed, works without them. And yeah, they'll be electrical taped, and ziptied away once its mounted
Cheers for that mate, I'll definitely take you up on that.

spuddy if you can't find any bolts that are 60mm but you can find longer ones get a nut that screws onto it set the nut so that you have the 60mm needed hacksaw the waste off an if you know of anyone with a linisher or belt sander , screw the nut upto the head of bolt clean the thread up then unscrew the nut that will reform the thread.

Pics to be uploaded when I get around to mounting it - that may be after I get my headlight mounts, which are taking their sweet ass time.

Bought a allan head bolt to replace my bar ends a little while back. They were 50mm long but im pretty sure they had longer ones too. Was at Auto One Ellenbrook. But im sure your local one would stock the same stuff.
Nice work on the bike so far btw

If you are planning on keeping this bike long term, check the oil screen next time you do an oil and filter change.
Checking the oil screen - Ninja250Wiki
GPXs have a separate oil screen as well as an oil filter. I checked mine a week ago whilst doing an oil/filter change, and found a couple of pieces of sealant from when the engine was originally assembled - i.e. the screen had never been cleaned (or even checked) at any of the kawasaki services the bike has had during its lifetime
The buildup of grime around the edges of the cover plate would also suggest it had never been unbolted to check the oil screen.
Anyhow, my point is that although the bits of sealant wouldn't have been doing any harm, fuck knows what else could be in the average GPX engine gumming up the oil flow without the screen ever being checked by the kawasaki mechanics.

^^^ orly? wow ok, cheers.
I'm calling phase 1 a great success, Friday Morning was my completion date to make it roadworthy again (for a trip down south), and the lights, indicators, mirrors, and new dash all look great and work a treat. Pics to come, when I can get around to it.
