Really? How early? I'm normally on my way to work by 6:00am if I catch the bus, about an hour later if I ride. On bus days, you could probably walk right into me and I wouldn't notice the impact. I make a concerted effort to never wake up until I've had at least two coffees... not a morning person! <embarrassed now> Ah yes, exhaust noise! A treat for the ears. I hear so many bikes howling past, especially along Shepperton. Some of them sound really good... others, well. Someone has to ride the lesser bikes, I suppose.

Awww, I'm sorry... LOL Yeah, you did look a little uncomfortable when I walked up to you. I was on the verge of yelling "You Jess?" but you shot off up the ramp before I could! You probably thought I was some kind of stalker/paedophile/predator... it's no wonder you bolted! Hampton Street... ? <Heads off to consult street atlas>. I've only been here a few months, so between my street altas and Google... you get the idea. So, you're not far away. We really should have a coffee.

You're surprised that everyone was smiling at you? Why? Yeah, I'm on Teague Street. I lost sight of you as you headed off down Duncan towards the (new) station. Your bike sounds sooooooooooo good. Mine still has the stock pipe, which sounds positively sad by comparison.

Neither. I was the pedestrian grinning at you while you were trying to get your bike off the kerb, and then at the traffic lights. Hehe. You were probably wondering why the hell I was staring at you!

Hmm. Bugger, Now I really wish I'd been a bit more forthcoming, but I didn't want to freak you out if you weren't you. (Does that make any sense?). I'm at those shops most days, either facing the overwhelming choice of what I'm buying for dinner, or checking my mailbox.
