Where do i start.
I’m staying at “Ocean View Retreat”.
After speaking with a friend about travelling the east coast of Tasmaina she recommended i stop for a look at Bicheno.
She said it is beautiful.
She is right.
Every person i have met in Tasmania that i have told i intend to look at the east coast has said “you should go to Bicheno”.
So here i am and they were all right.

A warrior to the end.
My father was a warrior.
It was clear.
When he fought, he fought to win.
No mater the cost, he fought to win.
The stories i heard as a child were that my father was indestructible. He and his mate Reg would stand back to back and take on a pub. Reg would pull out his (false) teeth and dad would take off his glasses to watch over Reg’s teeth and they would take on a pub.
They would walk out.
The destruction they would leave...

I woke in the morning with the black dog over my head once again.
With him this time were hallucinations. Flashbacks from previous life adventures or a hang over i am not sure. But the sky swam and i was depressed.
The day saw me drive to a place called southport on the bottom of Tasmania. There i turned left and drove along a dirt track to the edge of a cliff and then foolowed that track along the cliff.
The sky had a knot of cloud sitting low in the sky. Each time i looked at...

As a part of my trip along the east coast (of Tasmania) i wanted to see a Tassie Devil. Debbie (the owner of Ocean View Retreat), said go to the wildlife sanctuary and tell them i sent you.
Dropping her name got me a free bag of animal food. I walked out in to the park straight over to the eagle enclosure to watch these most majestic of birds sitting in a tree being swooped by tiny little angry birds. Nesting season huh?
I wandered down the track toward two geese. I thought this would...

I did it again.
I do it because i enjoy it.
I saw an ambulance officer standing waiting for food in her uniform.
I watched as she ordered her food with a smile on my face. I had a plan, a plan i have acted out many times before. A process that has almost become second nature.
She got her food and as she went to walk past me i said, “excuse me”.
She stopped with the cordial smile that ambulance officers (and nurses) usually have. “Yes”.
