Wanted jam/practice buddy. Beginner skill grade.
Dear sir / madam
I've been "playing" the violin for about 1.5 years. I'm not Andre Rieu. I'm not even the little one-armed boy from Australia's Funniest Recitals. I can hold a tune if I play slowly enough and I can hit more than 50% of notes in tune. I also seem to play much better when playing with someone else on a violin or any other instrument.
So I'm looking for someone who plays the guitar/piano/violin/anything about as well as I play the violin to jam / practice with and could dig a violin + X ensemble. I don't have any dreams of forming a band etc, I just thought it would be fun to get some practice and a bit of mutual benefit. I know I've seen at least 2 "I'm learning the guitar" threads on here in recent years.
I'm happy to try just about any genre - ethnic, folk, jazz, classical, gypsy, hillbilly, even (or preferably) metal (I have an amp). Or just make up crazy crap as we go along. Not that i can really play any of those (apart from the crazy crap) , but I'm sure it'll be fun giving it a blast.
I could host an acoustic player where I live (in a small villa) but I'd have to meet an electric gentleman or lady at your house or elsewhere. I can play on the weekends.
Send me a PM if you're interested.
Yours sincerely
Sarcasmatron
