I'd say the way the headstock is crushed against the airbox preventing the tank sitting properly would be the general area.

Ok, question for those in the know.
Apart from the front wheel, cause I know that is different, would buying a frame, farings, front clamps, headlights, gauges etc. etc. off a 2001 900ss still all fit? Any issues with buying these items off a 2001 instead of the 1998 which this one is?
Doug has gone back to work and I can not ask him but I have the opportunity to acquire these things?
Cheers,
Cal

parts list are a good place to check if parts are interchangeable between models. Also their was a guy over east who was legendary for straightening frames, he made up the world first computerised straightening / measuring tool. His name escapes me at the moment, I'll do a search on google, good excuse for a Japanese Over or Italian Verlicchi or NCR frame kit, or is their any left over Vee Two Squalo kits left!!!. that would be Awesome!!
" Squalo" :-)

Doug is now leaning towards setting up the 900 as a track only bike.
He quite likes this idea, must say it looks pretty neat....
