Oil Level High?

Hi,
New bike and so many questions, I had the fairings off to check the oil level and when the bike is dead upright the oil level is above the sightglass slightly is this an issue? And should I remove some to bring it between the marks next to the sightglass?

thanks in advance

DJ

If it's above the top line, but below the top of the sight glass I wouldn't worry.

Above the sight glass, it gets very dependent on bike model. On the suzuki fours, for example, the top of the glass is pretty close to the level at which your crankshaft is splashing in the oil, which is bad.

Safer than sorry, would be my call - drop a bit out.

Keep it between the marks.

Try reading the manual, it should tell you wether it needs to be on the stand or not when checking the oil. 996 manual says to have it vertical.
