Bike Transport wanted Taz to Perth

Apologies if this makes someone swear,

But i'm unsure of the place to advertise a service request on this site.

Im in need of quote from a transport company to move a bike (rz 350 ) (medium to lightweight ) from Taz to Perth, door to depo, or door to door.

Can anybody recommend the good ones from experience. (yep, and I know it's gunna be hexy)

    Kind regards

thankyou fella's that gives me two starting points, I got a bike from Melb to Perth last year for 600, so im guessing the target is around the 1 k mark or below.
And FJ the location is secret at this stage, aparently Benno is planning a fly over Tas tomorrow with his bevy of young mates hunting down RZ's for his Yamaha Museam.

Ha Ha, Bevvy of young mates. Jealous much.
You are really asking me to send one of them fully loaded to take you out of the equation aren't you.

Ha ha, but if you really want something and are living in WA, freight is something you just have to take into account.
Depends what you do fro a living really.
If you want it, you'll pay the freight.

The trick is, dont say its a bike, crate it up and get any reputable shipping company to ship your container that measures X x Y x Z and weighs W, soon as you say its a bike the price goes up. Seen em shipped from here to melb for $280 a couple of times. Just drain all fluids so nothing can leak, tie it down well and have it completely covered. and old bike crate from a bike shop and a few sheets of ply from bunnings works a treat

That's great advice Sean O, Thanks.
I get spanked on the freight every time and have had one bike arrived damaged from a so called reputable bike transport company.

    Just some feedback re transport.
Following were qoutes I received today, and yes as a sandgroper I have been aware for almost 50 years of the cost of getting things to WA. It was even worse when I worked in the Kimberly's and the Pilbra years ago. I blame the mexicans moving over here bringing there bad manners, and then wanting all the comforts of home as well, but that's another shit fight.

at anyrate Launceston to Perth door to door.
    Hunter Express 1127.23.
    Bikes2you 1200 and very freindly.
2men in a truck(told me straight up can't do it)
    III Bikes Only 1437.
    PBMT 1500.
Bike Logistics first quote was 2200, then a follow up, came in about 10 minutes later at aroun 1450.
I have a mate who ownes a trucking company, and hopefully tomorrow he will come back under Hunter Expresss, but if not it looks like hunter or Bikes2you are the go, i dont want to ask Stu to muck around hiding it in a box, " as good an idea it is Seano, you sneaky bastard" but Stu is prety flat out at the moment working long hours.
So there you go fellas, and Evil the Tas to Melb rate has gone up from 450 to 485.
    Kind regards
    Seahorse

Ended up going with (Gregory CAMILLERI) bikes2u@gmail.com, friendly and efficient service, and after a bit of a chat got the quote to $ 1100. Happy days. ( beat my mate who ownes a trucking company )
A few of the others I identified after a bit of a search didn't come close to Greg in service, price and the most powerfull tool the pen (feedback).
Cheers Evil, once again your advice is spot on.
I don't know why so many doubt you. Probably got something to do with your shifty hair style.
