I really don't know what they do or how they decide to organize practical tests. I rang up at 8am one morning last week and was told there was nothing before September 20 or there abouts. I rang back at 9am and made a booking at the end of August. Rang back an hour later and got one on July 31, then rang back a couple of hours later and got one this Wednesday!!!
Am just hoping to pass straight up so I don't have to go through all that again!!

instructors shuffle/cancel their clients bookings around to suit, based on client being ready/available/etc. plus general public cancelling and rebooking, hence why availability changes a lot day to day/week to week/etc.

I must say I was surprised today when I got a confirmation from the DPI regarding my R class practical test which is apparently on September 10. This is strange considering that I do not even have my R-E license yet!!!

Yeah 13 11 56 is the right number. Then you hit 3 at the first menu and a 1 for the second menu to take you to the practical assessment bookings. I've rang up heaps lately. Very early in the morning - at 8am you don't wait at all, but very early in the morning they don't seem to have many tests available. The average wait time for me has been about 10-15 minutes which is a bit annoying! But keep ringing back every few hours and you will get a decent time!

I managed to get a booking on the 14th August at Kelmscott when I went in to get my R L's on Monday. It was either that or the following Thursday, but I haven't ridden a bike in seven weeks.

Joondalup is really hard to get a booking.
I tried for months to get one close to the date i wanted and still could'nt get one.
Switched to citywest coz it could get one much earlier. The booking system sux.

After finally getting through today, I got Sept 29th in Midland The lady kept saying a date and then, "oh, there isn't a bike available for the assessor".. gahhhh!

You can always go with another Instructor, if they can't fit you in
