I attach a ribbon from the lock to the handlebars as a reminder (you can also buy a coiled up plastic line specifically for this task, but ribbon works for me). Its saved me many times.
PS: Welcome to PSB.
cheers for the tip, I just picked up a Xena lock of a fella PSBer I met last night that sounds on motion so hopefully I get reminded!

Sweet. Get yourself down to a few of the Learner-Newbie Rides, introduce yourself to Stoneville who leads them and she can sort you out!
I'm out at work, but hit up as many rides as I can when home.
Still working on the XJ, goal was to have it ready for the National Jambo at Harvey, but when that got canned, my timeframe lengthened just a ... bit.

Optical (Gary) is on here too occasionally. Going straight for his R class with a Z750.

I'd be surprised if someone was looking to do the chop shop deal to the hyo-dungs. Then again, there are way too many of them out there. Would be hard to check them all to make sure they're not just a stolen bike with different plates.

I don't think there's a huge risk of my bike being stolen, by comparison; everyone keeps recognising it as IGS's, it's a little disconcerting having random people walk up and ask me about it. Had I stolen it, I don't think there's a chance in hell I'd be able to ride it around and not have word travel back to him.
