I'm a sandgroper through and through... CAAAAAARN THE EAGLES!!!!

2 eagles players finish first and second in the brownlow. Pretty hard for that to happen but just shows the eagles are quality.

Swans are going down!

And gordo.. as for watching paint dry.. I'm guessing you're just annoyed that you could never manage kicking an oblong object instead of something simple like a round ball? :D

round ball leaves more to skill and less to chance. funny how afl is played in 1 country out of 193, whereas soccer is played in 193/193. :P

having said that WE'RE THE EAGLES WE'RE FLYING HIGH

Fuck the Footy :D . god i must get a tee shirt with that on the back, problem is I'll probably get some dickhead trying to run me off the road, personally I've never seen the attraction to getting hot and sweaty with a bunch of other blokes who try their best to grab you any chance they get while chasing around after a inflated bulls scrotum, then ending it with a shared shower and a group singalong......

Mate, I couldn't have summed it up better myself!

My opinion is that all these people put the same energy that put into sport, into the rest of thier lives, this planet would have no problems. For something these people gain no benifit from (apart from some weird sense of accomplishment when 'thier' tean wins), it's just staggering. It's like all the worst bits of religion rolled into one sea of boganity.

I'll stop now before some footy loving mod decides to oppress me for expressing my opinion.

You can apply that kind of half-baked theory to any sport or profession really.

Be it AFL, soccer, cricket, athletics, motogp or supercars. Their sport is their life.
Those people have a level of skill such that they get paid to do what they love.
Shame on them.

The bogans you refer to are more likely the general trash that lack motivation and have no desire to ever really work hard for anything.
Government handouts and just putting in the bare minium effort are their ethos in life.

Contrary to your opinion, Id think that if everyone in society had their level of positive motivation and applied themselves to what they love to such a degree society would be better off.

LOL.. i do beleive there is more skill involved in soccer and they have a thing called a "goalie" to try and skillfully stop 15+ goals as in footy:P instead of just goal, goal, goal there is exciment in misses too and i belive there would be more goals in soccer than footy if there was no goalie.

Totally different game, totally different skill set stop trolling for arguments, its like commenting that badmington/squash and tennis players all have the same set of skills but because squash is enclosed its harder, when we all know tennis/badmington/squash use entirely different skills.
