Yep its funny that ..... i get Jana to ride with Woj on his GSX-R1000, and i go solo , so girls assume im the single one and they do comoe up and comment , chat , and even flirt. The few guys i ride with , its all happened to us in the past , ironically Woj started reeling them in when he got a Yoshi can

I think chicks dig the v-twin.

My experience with my Across must be quite different to Haugen's, as i've never found it to have any magnetic properties when it comes to women.

Don't know what that boy was thinking...

Shit, I hope so - I have invested way too much time and money to find out now that it doesn't...

I have received a few more smiles from lovely ladies when in the riding gear - however if they heard my bike they would probably end up rolling on the floor laughing their asses off!

Yes.

Women cannot resist a man on a motorcycle, it is physically hardwired into their brains to be attracted to you. Women also love wheelies and the smell of burning rubber. The better the power to weight ratio of the bike, the more attractive you are. The power to weight ratio of 250cc motorcycles may set off a woman's Gaydar. Spraying some chain lube near your wrists and neck will help you pick up in nightclubs, pubs and other social areas. Your motorcycle jacket's armour will make you appear very buff which is also important to women.

If the only reason you ride a bike is to pick up chicks, you probably shouldn't be riding. Some girls have been pretty impressed with my bike ,but it's never assisted in actually helping pick them up (then again, off the top of my head, most of the girls i know have boyfriends *sigh*). I agree with dubs, you gotta have game first.

ApriliaRSVGuy

It has been a good conversation starter.... "So you've never been on a bike before? I'll take you for a spin sometime, if you're interested..."

It allows for some physical contact, right off the bat... "Before you get on the bike, you are going to have to hug me." You hug them tight, you know, nice and close. Then you say "OK, so you've hugged my front, you should have no trouble hugging me from behind." Nothing worse than a pillion that is afraid of touching you!

And that leads to some light banter after the ride - "Just don't mention to your parents I've been between your thighs! Better not mention the bike, either!"

The bike is only a tool - technique certainly helps! :)

...

Of course not. Jesus. I don't have any time to talk to women what with all the motorcycling to be done, and bike shopping, and race watching, and talking bikes, and researching bikes and earning money to pay for bikes...

...If I ever find enough space in my schedule to squeeze companionship in though, I'll give it a shot and let you know how it pans out ;)

Well sometimes...

Ive impressed a couple of car loads of chicks by doing a nice endo as i pull up to the lights next to them, then there was the time i almost flipped it but saved her, and in the process knackered myself on the tank comming back down.... nothing pulls the chicks like a man screaming in pain for his "little dudes "

here's a gals opinion..

NOPE, it doesnt help. especially if she rides herself ;)

what the ladies are attracted to is confidence. and someone who is comfortable within themselves.

you dont need to look like brad pitt to be confident. but if you're not confident and uncomfortable with yourself you'd better sort your shit out and haul your arse to the gym and do something about it!

hope this helps :P

since ive given you guys the goss on this, whats the goss on what guys think of gals who ride hey?

Worked opposite for me - was bout 20 - was bought home on a 600 thundercat and my dad rides, so he was all impressed and they chatted away about bikes for ages (forgot i was there at times).

Then to top it off; at my grandmothers funeral my bf left for work all dressed in black on his bike and my aunty's friends and THEIR MOTHERS were all coming up telling me how sexy my boyfriend is and does he have any brothers/a father who looks like him. Poor nana.

I gave up and now I ride.

ive found a few times when walking around the shops in my gear, girls will talk to me, and ask what bike ive got etc
guess thats just more being friendly, rather than an indirect way of saying "i want to sleep with you"

Yeh, there is a lot of crap posted on this subject, so I thought I'd put my $5 in...

I think because there is a little danger, a little excitement and a bit of something different it helps to pull the chicks. Chicks on this forum will probably disagree because riding a bike isn't anything different than what they're used to. I'm sure the ladies here would be throwing their tops at some pilot of a jet plane.

As for Amber's question of chicks riding bikes, I think it's a little different than guys riding bikes. If there are guys who don't ride and havn't experienced bikes then those guys may be a little intimidated by a chick who rides(having bigger balls than him). However, if the guy rides, then I think he'll probably think it's great that there's a chick who isn't scared shitless of bikes and has a bit of adventure in her life, I know I do. Also helps to have a chick who understands a passion which the guy has in his life.

I'd be interested in people's opinions on the above...

Oh come on Melle, have a sense of humour.

Do you honestly expect guys to take up something like motorcycling without having that thought in the back of their mind -- 'It might help me get laid' even if it is the remotest possibility?

Riding motorbikes could help you pick up if the chick is also interested in bikes. No point getting involved with someone if you don't share the love of bikes. I think I heard once that a chick asked a guy to choose between her and the bike

But as a chick, I do feel sexier when I'm riding a bike (even if it is with a yellow vest for now :()

It's the yellow vests that hook me in every time :) . I even found the girlfriends i had that were scared shitless of the bike still liked that i had it. And that was always the best deal, because they'd want to take their car everywhere we went so i got to drink beer :D

Don't worry, it'll be traded in for a hot-pink jacket by the end of next week! (but the vest will still be over it... *sigh*)

Apparently one can obtain a flouro RED safety vest from: http://www.westcare.com.au/westcare_safety_home.asp - not hot pink, but close :)

NOW, obviously a RED day/night safety vest will help as ALL pick up chicks! :)

being a chick on a bike, certainly grabs the guys attention,

it seems everytime i pull up at a petrol station, some old bloke feels the need to tell me about how they had a bike when they were younger so on and so forth.
<_<

but i do love the looks u get when u take ur helmet off ,flick out ur hair and guys do a double take cause they didnt expect it to be a girl!

I just lurrve that kinda attention lol :P

the best part is you can add a new variety of pick up lines.

mabye i can take you for a ride sumtime..... On the bike that is *then add a wink*

if they say yes.

ohh so you like something fast and powerful between your legs.

the problem for me is they always ask what i ride and i ride a 250cc hyosung comet which nobody has heard about so i cant wait to upgrade to a big bike.

Being a chick myself

I would have to say yes! there is an attraction to guys on bikes....hence why my boyfriend rides motorcross and such. I think it's because the girls believe there is a little bit of mystery with a guy who rides and we know your into speed....the good kind. People look at you if your on a bike and chicks dig the attention, and come on everyone knows a bike helmet in the middle of the kitchen table is so sexy.

well this chick does. (don't get any idea's boys)

Go out and get yourself hit by a car coz chicks dig scars. Trust me, Ive tried it. B)

There are some things to remember however:

1. Wear a full faced helmet. "Chicks dig scars" is the saying, NOT "Chicks dig ugly munted-up f%#@ers", even if they claim its personality that counts

2. Probably better doing it on your 250 as you were gonna get rid of it after 1yr of ownership anyway.

3. Try to make it not your fault. I got myself a drunk driver, worked at treat. Just be careful and be ready to swerve, coz those bastards tend to try n get ya with the roo bar. The reason for making it someones elses fault is the sympathy. Believe me, I didnt get half the sympathy from stacking it after a mono down my street. The whole danger-man thing is therefore overrated in my opinion.

Disclaimer: The above is intended in jest. Nato takes no responsibility if Haugen goes out and actually does this.

Does it count if my girlfriend helped choose the bike? Because that would indicate that she likes it .. i think anyway. As for picking up due to bike, some girls maybe other girls probably not.

I must say, walking through the cott on a sunday night with a helmet and jacket gave me an advantage I otherwise wouldn't have had. That being said tho, I agree with whoever said you still gotta have game to make use of it.

Nice tight fitted leather jackets are all the go....mmm B)

and as for chicks...im not sure if it helps yet...but sitting on the back of the bike certainly makes a chick feel sexy as hell! (well i do anyway)

I had a bird show me her knickers and boobs at the pub once cause i was on a bike ( Infusions VTR)and gave her a quick spin, she also whispered to me the her boyfriend doesnt satify her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . she then proceeded to have her mate ring her mobbie and rubbed it over her muff :o . much to the amasement of 2 harleys riders not ten metres away. must say the purple lace underwear was quite nice, and her boobs  . As i was taking uop her offers of more JB and Cola's she suggested we meet next weekend for a ride and "picnic" in the hills :D , she would bring the blanket. amazing who you meet at the narogin pub in Armadale after a hills ride  . thankfully i already had at missus at the time. I must say the best bit was rocking up at a mates place 5 mins later who passed on a post ride drink and retelling the story. made my day

personally, yeah I think it does help, or atleast to me it would, I'm interested in bikes so any guy who rides a bike automatically has the advantage in getting my attention, so as a convo starter it helps, however I wouldn't choose a guy for the bike he rides, that depends on the looks :P

as for the sexyness of riding a bike, christ I go at lengths to disuise that I am a chick on a bike, generally tuck my hair in so that it's not noticed, not too keen on all the stares you get when they realise its a girl, plus I'm forever in battle with trying to prove to myself that I can do anything that guys can do, should have been born a boy :(
