Hey guys, I'm currently sitting at Curtin University Security because some cunt decided to damage my bikes ignition. I can't actually get the key all the way in, so hoping to get a lift with a ute or someone with a trailer because I can't start my bike. If possible, call me on 0424349198. Need a lift to Spearwood.

Post it up in the PSB Roadside Assistance section. That will probably get you a quicker response.

sorry to hear, hope you get sorted

Here's a couple of hook ups in case you don't

Bike Assist 0401 150 556

Perth Motorcycle Pick up 0407 987 248

Mansell's 949301507

There's a new bloke in town, but I keep forgetting to bring his card to work, he usually parks up at the Shell servo in Bentley

If the ignition switch is stuffed then just do what thieves do and jam a large flat blade screwdriver into it so that you can turn it. Painful to do to your bike, but it should work.

There's not much to it - I see this sort of damage to bikes at auction regularly.

Once you've got your bike fixed later on, start putting a disc lock on the front brake and one of those fluorescent cables to go from the lock to the handlebars. That way you a) won't forget about the lock and b) the amateur thieves won't touch the bike because they also will see it.

Good luck.

I'm still at work and might struggle to be able to drop you home/to work before going out. Will keep an eye on the thread and will see what I can do if you still haven't got a pick up.
PS: do you have the steering lock on? If so, can the key still be turned to take the lock off? Loading it is going to be a bitch otherwise ;)

I'm leaving work in about 25 minutes or so from West Perth.
I could swing down to Curtin and pick you up and drop you off in Spearwood. It isn't that far out for me since I'm am going south-ish.
I can't do anything about trailering your bike though.

Sounds good guys. Much appreciated. I'll let security know someone is coming to get the bike, as its currently in their compound.

Just noticed that it's a GPX. Would be worth making a quick trip to a wrecker, buying a replacement ignition switch (with key) and putting it on. Would need tools and some basic mechanical knowledge though.
