Apartment is brand new, all furniture is new and modern. Need something not too expensive to hang on the walls. What and where? I've tried Crazy Clarks/Red Dot for large blown up photos on canvas but they only had London & Sydney themed ones.

Interested in photo prints and graffiti art.

Try ikea, they normally have alot on canvas prints that are cheap, I know they had a perth skyline a while ago if that's the kind of thing you are after. However, if you're really after something for a bachelor pad, save some $'s and get some good sporting memorabilia.

Draw crappy pictures on the wall and colour them badly with crayons, it worked for Picasso. ;)

Get some of your favourite photos, make them black and white, and get one of the site sponsors to print them on a canvas!

Theres a place on albany highway vic park that does large prints. Anything from mounted pics with autographs (like withnthe autograph and photo above) to stuff like movie and album posters that look pretty cool

Go to shutterstock.com or istock.com.

Search to your hearts content for anything and everything.

Then give the ID number to me and I can work my magic.

Make some frames out of 2x1" pine, put sound deadening mats inside then wrap the outside with some funky fabric that suits your decor from spotlight or something.
You'll now have some cool wall art but the best thing is they will absorb sound and echos when ur banging hot bitches in ur pad or watchin Termintor 2 full blast!

Gonna look into this. Just found a tutorial on how to make the frame and stretch the material. I'll go and get the stuff tomorrow.

Do some research on local up and coming street artists and commission them to throw something up on your wall.

A mate made some for his home theatre and to go in the main open area of his house, the diffrence they have made is unreal. Home theatre has about 10 panels and there is absolutly no echo in there. I think he made about 15 1.8x800 panels for under $300 usuing proper sounds absorbing material from a place in ossie park.

Bought wood and fabric for $60. 2 hours later, this was the result. They're 100cm x 75cm. Considering changing the red in the middle to match the couches. You can't really tell in the photo but they're black, red and grey with texture. Phone camera also makes them look different sizes, I assure you they're all straight and the same size!

Canning Vale markets (on a Sunday near market city) have a few guys who sell the limited edition framed and signed merchandise. Some from Stoner for $50 or so. My personal favourite (when I get around to buying it) is the Ali and Jordan one under the banner of greatness. Some football stuff aswell depending upon what exactly you are looking for.

My wife had someone called Zachski Chopmaster graffiti the wall of her shop.

Do you have anything interesting like an old BMX bike, water ski or motorbike laying around.

They look awesome!
Try spotlight for some funky fabrics cheap- about 10 dollars a metre. Also, IKEA also have some funky printed fabrics which you can buy the metre. If you've got a really boring chest of draws you can put the fabric over it- make sure it's tight and staple it.. Otherwise sand it back and paint it a funky colour :)

That's where I went :) not the fastest staff in the world though. I didn't know IKEA sold fabric, I'll have to go check it out.

did u put any sound deadening material in them or just the basic panels?
If used properly this is the effect accoustic panels can have on a room.

No, just stretched the fabric over the frames. I'm nearing the limit of my internet usage so I'll check out the link on recharge.
