My battery seems to have died whilst I stopped in the city near the river. Stranded here now with no idea what to do. Any suggestions / help much appreciated.

Where abouts? - near the causeway? because causeway m/c would be just on the other side of the bridge.

Corner of The Esplanade & Howard St. I just forked out $300 to join the Recent. Hopefully they can jump it to get me home.

Guessing you've tried to push start it?

Recent = RAC right?

If they don't come along then PM me with your number and I don't mind riding in with a portable jump starter. Only 15min away

Yep. Stoopad auto correct. RAC. Thanks for the offer. I'll post if they are a no show.

Well that was an expensive jump start, but at least I am home now. Time to break out the charger and see if I need a new battery :(

Thanks again to all for your offers of help / advice.

Mate get a multi meter and check that your altinator is charging properly, start the bike and chck voltage should be around 13.6v whilst running

+1 ;)

Just go buy a new battery.

Trouble is if the electrical system (stator/RR) is fucked it can damage a new battery so a good idea to check that as well ;)
