has anyone heard anything about the way we will be grided for the state rounds ? I heard a rumour on sunday that we won't be doing a qualifying session on may 2nd  only a practice run in the morning , grid positions will be worked out on positions that you finished the stars/kings and if you didn't race that then it'll go off the club race day !
I was pretty dubious about this but forgot to ask to qny questions ! they say that they won't have qualifying for the rest of the season , you'll just start where you finished the last round....but what happens if you miss a round or you DNF, they can't make you start from the back of the grid , it'll take you 3 rounds to work back to where you're meant to be !
has anyone heard anything similar to this ???

I would of thought it would be like any other racing event. Looking at the Schedule we have 3 x 10min sessions, you would think 1 x practice and 2 x qualifing or vice / vercer
I can not see any benifit in having grid positions set from an event held a month ago, could have been raining then, or raining this weekend  Apart from all that alot of guys got DNF's (21 in total  )

What ever happens, happens
Bring it on :!:

Tex,

From memory, what you have described is the way they ran it last year.

No qualifying as they used the previous round results to decide the grid positions.

No qualifying as they used the previous round results to decide the grid positions.

With any luck they will run it like the Club Race Day in March, 1 x practice 2 x Qualifing.

My 2 cents 8)

Times are considered when doing grid formats. First row or so is two previous round finish or in this instance round 1 to last years championship finish. After race one it means nothing anyway.

just means you'll have to ride your balls off in the first race.

How is your coller bone healing Ben ? Will you make the grid on Sunday ?

Yeah i will be out there giving it a go. I just want to make some forward progress with the bike and get some points. No real expectations.

We have a young kid coming from over east to get some track time before the Aussie round on his 600. Josh Waters is his name, expect some pretty strong times from him, maybe 57's? We will see how quickly he learns Wanneroo
