I'm not sure if it's a standard damper or not. I'd be putting my Ohlins on it anyway though.

I'm on my way now to go see pete so I'll ask him about it.

Awsome, Finally get to see the bike that I have ordered.

Rock on 04' The Steering dampner has a honda badge so I'd say it's a stock item. Love the look of it.

I reckon the look of the Hondas Fireblade went downhill after 99, this just reinforces that opinion for me. Why does every bike have to be pointy and shit? First it was just the yami's now kwakas have followed suit and Nohdas have as well, Im hoping suzuki doesnt follow suit with next years models. They already fucked up the look of the 1000 this year.

As long as they leave the 750 alone, thats the one i want in about 2 years

I notice it still has "Fireblade" on it just befor the RR.

Thoguht they were guna retire that name.

Good decision to keep it I recon.

There is one problem with it. They should have made an indentation in the fuel tank. Cuz any normal person would be "barred up" riding that baby!!

:?: Only one possible question after seeing the new WEAPON ...which colour??? Answer...the one that doesn't show the dead bugs. No need to worry about stone chips ...like what is going to be able to get past to throw 'em?? I am a very happy man ...even though I will have to part with my tried and true 954. My call is put on a seat cowl ...pull off the rear pegs and stop trying to win SHOXXER (Krissy) at Scarbs hang. Cheers

I will get flamed for this, but it looks like a half finished bridge :(

I like it except for the paint.. The black one looks like it's only been half painted, with the mids/lowers totally plain. Looks like they just left hte primer on and forgot to paint it.

The white etc one is one of the gayest colour schemes i've ever seen.

maybe it'll look better in the flesh. :)

How come it says CBR if they apparently renamed it RCB. Honda said they were retiring the CBR in honour of the dude who retired from the company.. so much for that hey

cyaz :)

I wouldnt count these as the final finishes guys.

The bike itself, fairing shape etc would be final however the colours and decals I would think are not final. We may have to wait until next week to see the official release pix.

MJ, if you buy a RCB1000, I will give you 7 days until we are reading the threat about your demise.

165 HP, Woman and new rider - is not a good formula.

Stick with your 600, its a perfect bike.

As of next year, with the money that all major manufacturers have invested into new models, it wouldn’t matter what litre bike you buy wether it be Suzuki GSXR1000, Honda RCB or Kwaka ZX10, they will ALL be outstanding bikes, with all the same HP, within a few grams of each other, same brakes, same characteristics.

You cant go wrong with any of them.

The 600RR will be perfect for a first open license bike, the thou's coming out are going to blow people away, it'll even scare the shit out of me on more than one occasion. I'm so hanging out for next year, it's going to be an awesome year for bikers, imagine what the Supers will be like 04 / 05 season!!!!

It will continue to be crap, just like this year, until they make the rules fair for every 1000 cc bike and allow them to take of the air box restrictors off the jap bikes.

Until then it will remain, the Ducati Cup. One rule for them - one rule for the others. Booorrrriiiiinnnnnng.

I'm kinda baffled as to why WSBK have adopted control (Pirelli) tyres for next year, too..

Prolly cos Pirelli paid them a shit load. Greed. It will be the ultimate demise.
