OK come end of May (27th to 29th) the Australian Superbike Championship comes to Perth for round 3.

Whos in? I know it's not a cheap weekend, infact f*^king expensive, but how often do you get the chance. For most of us it will cost $438.00 plus a garage. Plus 3 sets of tyres, but you can get away with 2 new and 1 s/h for Friday practice.

So without scaring you too much who's in, it's a great weekend :D

I have sent off for Formula Extreme C & D events.

I'll enter the CBR1000F if someone wants to sponsor me! :P

With the amount of $$$ I've spent I should get automatic sponsorship from the Jack Daniels company.

Tex

Man a 20 lap race !!!!! damm that means if the factory boys are doing 57s then you have to be doing low 60s just so as you won't be lapped in the race !!
can you believe that !!!
Doing 60.6 and getting lapped !!!! that would have to piss you off !!

Rob

Well you most likely have scared Leroy out of the event

I wish we were doing 12 to 15 laps like in the historics, none of this 6 to 8 lap shit. 20 laps is a lot, more so when your not used to it.

Hey guys,
Where do we get a hold of the 208's on the deal that the national guys get? I'm thinking I'll just practice on bridgestones friday and purchase/fit the dunlops Sunday morning?
Is this a bad idea?

I did the Superstock last year. You can use what ever on Friday free practice but Saturday and Sunday (qualifying / Racing) must be on the one set of tyres.

Go to www.aus-superbikes.com.au for further information regards tyres entry listings etc etc.

Daniel,
I ran the dunlops for the first time at the historics a few weeks ago and they do take a bit of getting use to, they are fairly slippery compared to race rubber and the back tends to move around alot, the front seems pretty good though,
I hear that there are problems at the moment with availability of the dunlops so you may struggle to find a set for either of the tunning days

gohan
10-05-2005, 04:14 PM
daniel.if you can afford it buy, the dunlops to do practice with on the friday.you can then set your bike up or at least get use to that tyre.from what i,ve heard they are not that grippy :unsure:i wouldnt practice with a bridgestone then start a race with dunlops, sounds silly if you ask me. but dont take it from me,im just some DUMBASS! who thinks he can ride

i,ve just read back on the posts you 2 prestige boys put up.typical ;) you didnt answer daniels question.
YES its a bad idea to practice with the bridgestones.use the dunlops the whole weekend.

Tex
11-05-2005, 09:58 AM
He also asked where to get hold of the Dunlops and you didn't answer that you little tosser !!! :D
I thought anyone with half a brain would be able to understand that by me saying that I'm already running the Dunlops to get use to them, that I'm implying that this is the best idea......rather than run the bridgestones !!

geez leroy ......do I have to speak slowly for you as well !!

and if you can afford the bridgestones then you can afford the dunlops !! seeing as the dunlops are $100 cheaper than the Bridgestones on the deal offered to racers !! but if you had half a clue then you would of known that !!

And who the HELL are you to offer tyre advice !!!!!!!!! you have NO IDEA when it comes to tyres .....you can't even decide what to put on your own bike !!

Tex
11-05-2005, 01:12 PM
Imagine how quick you would be if you sorted out your tyres !!!!

And like I keep saying !! when you come back and race a 600 , then you can talk to me .....until then your just an egotistical, small brained, short, big bike riding little tosser of the biggest magnitude !!!

If you were half as good as you keep telling us then you'd be riding in the Aust round in WA......but you're not because you're to scared !!! and you know that you'll be a joke !! ;)

This post is about the Aust superbike championships bitch !!! and seeing as you ain't riding in them then I don't see the relevance in you commenting !! maybe you should leave this section to the people who have the balls to ride in the championship !! :)

ok,if you didnt know yet,im not doing the australian round because i cant afford the $2500 :(
not like these other awesome riders(prestige honda)who can because they have the gift of the gab and managed to scam some $$$.i suppose i will get flogged anyway  well i cant wait to see me mate tex and calvin kick some ASS!(yeh right  )

Tex
11-05-2005, 02:36 PM

i can see you find this difficult to understand because you get to many things paid for you BITCH!
3 sets of tyres + 1 more rear bare min at $450 a set each.entry fee $440 front pads $140 at cost.fuel for 3 days $100 min.there still the other crap that goes with it.total $2330
need me to print it out for you :)
read the bottom BITCH!

if you want to be competitive you need 1 set for practice friday not 1 day old slicks as you need to be doing 60,s straight up.you then need a set for qualifying,no ifs or buts, you need new.then you have the two 20 lap races.a set for each.maybe you can save a front but i doubt it.not 20 laps ats 60,s min.

Tex
11-05-2005, 03:40 PM
you're not that good bitch !!!!
At the speed you ride a set of tyres would last you a whole season !!!

And you know you could do the whole weekend with two sets of tyres !!!

which means $1500 for the weekend !! and I'm sure you could subsidise it by giving blowjobs in the pits to the factory riders !!
isn't that how you afford to race now !!!! :P

Geez guys fire up! talk about tension in the ranks. But seriously thanks for all the advice. For the record I've also spoken to the organisers, Ausco, who have assured me that Dunlop will have plenty of tires available at the track. I assume that means they will be present for Friday practice as well? I hope so.

Also, I can't find the state point standings on the MCRC website, are these available anywhere?

Thanks again.

all the hanging shit is done in good fun ! And besides it's hard not to hang sh#t on Leroy when he's such an easy target !!

Hey you fitting into your leathers yet chubby boy !!

I havn't seen the state points on MCRC As far as I know the're not up yet!

At the meeting last night they mentioned that if you want to then you can ride in the historic meeting on the weekend before and still be ok to ride in the Aust round, The historic meeting is short track but you'd still get a chance to ride on the Dunlops if you had them !
