Church,

With reference to the title.
I assume you took 2 marks off, one for starting the sentence with lower case and the second for spelling error.
I think the "u" is deserving for extra marks off for lazy abbreviation. Surely, "ahve u ever been caught" is a question and deserves a '?' at the end also.

I, however, thought it was a bit harsh taking off 2 marks for signature quotations which may or may not have had correct grammar to begin with.

I agree about the 'u' and the '?,' but I'd just gotten through marking a whole stack of papers, so cut me some slack.

Also, if you want to avoid losing marks for spelling errors in quotes, use quotation marks and [sic].

In all seriousness though I was only kidding around.

Yeah we have members that are nazis, but we need some kind of filter that stops shitty spelling and grammar coming though to my sensitive eyes.

When posting a new thread correct English should be a priority, from there the replys can just go down hill. I hate posts that require multiple readings to make sense of. - Being shit with words can be somewhat of an excuse but basic punctuation isn't that hard.
