well...yesterday was the 25th Anniversary of the day I married my gorgeous Organic Speed Limiter. Seems like only yesterday (1984) I committed the rest of my life to sharing everything with this wonderful woman.

So many of our friends have seen their relationships fall by the wayside, yet we continue to live ours with no significant issues or problems. Quite amazing really, because I proposed to her 4 months after meeting her, and we were married within 11 months of our first 'date'. (bit of a whirlwind romance....) We have two brilliant kids (neither could give a rat's arse on the significance of yesterday )

The relationship has been an awesome journey, one which we both agreed last night, still holds so many more opportunities and experiences for us. I look back and remember the 25th Wedding Anniversary of my parents. Boy, what a night of celebration that was....only time I have ever seen my mother drunk. But as the generations move forward, the significance of this anniversary is not held in such esteem as years gone by. No matter, we had a great day....the dozen roses put a twinkle in her eye, and an awesome dinner last night.

So, yeah...just thought I'd share......

I joked about the pearl necklace, I bought my missus an antique pearl ring, she loves it.

My missus doesn't like pearls. Rubies are not her favourite either.

So, I'm saving for the diamonds...(traditional wedding anniversaries..not the 'modern') Wedding Anniversary Traditions (http://www.time4me.com/card/anniversary/main.htm)

You know if you'd shot her then you'd have been out long ago?

Seriously though congrats, 19 years now with my girl (not married), it's been hard work but she's worth it I reckon ;)
