Just feeling out interest in rad guards. Was thinking if there is a bit of interest, we might be able to twist Hewie's arm into organising a group buy.

Surely at least half the people on yesterdays ride would be interested. Pretty sure that hoon Fastgir1 would be interested.

Post if you are interested in buying :)

See previous posts..

Under $100??

Just got a couple of quotes around the place and the Rad guards seem to go for about $180 to $200. Suppose to be good guards and have heard cheaper ones to be ineffective. That being the case does anyone have any other prices for the rad guards?

I have been running the warpspeed rad guards now for over a year on both my 750 and my 600 . I'll try and get some photos. They are made of a stainless mesh. There are a few guys who race also use them.

I've run the Warpspeed rad gaurds on both my Blackbird and 04 GSXR1000. Perfect fit and finish. Smaller diameter holes than the mass produced one keeps our small gravel stones out.
I have personally seen them on R1, R6, YZF750, CBR1000RR, CBR600RR, CBR1100XX, ZX6, ZX10, Z1000, GSXR1000, 750, 600.

No-one has ever complained about overheating issues that i know of. They are made by a fellow long term forum member "Warpspeed". Not made in China where if you got a problem with a product "Stiff shit"

CBR1100xx Both oil cooler and Radiator

Still not sure  go to the shops as listed by Madmax1 above hold em, feel em, touch em and then buy one. Cheap insurance incase the unthinkable happens. ;)

On 3 seperate country runs i have been with people who have holed their radiators, It does happen people B) .

The GD engineering one looks good except for the flames (sorry) would like to see how he would fit one of those onto a curved radiator like the gixxer. B)

Again the flames are not my cup of tea but IMO they would look better if they were gold to standout a bit more match up with zorst, brakes, forks and hubs B)

If you are interested and you have not specified your bike details, ie year, make, model eg, 05 Kawasaki ZX-6R, then could you please do so.

Seems price might vary a bit depending on model. So I need the details.

Thanks
