    MotoGP Thailand 5-7 October 2018

Hi guys... sorry to butt in here...

Just wondering if any PSB folks are interested in going to the Buriram / Thai MotoGP race this year. 7 October 2018
Its the first time the GP has been to this track and as such some of the booking details and accommodation is a little bit sparse.
It appears the main Grandstand tickets are sold out already ... or does anyone have any idea if they holding them back for a better price later??

So the only other option available now is a full VIP ticket haha which is a few thousand more but has paddock access and other included stuff, special access to some of the teams etc which seems a little optimistic?? Has anyone gone for something like this at a GP?

    Thanks for your input!!

My missus and I are looking at going too. I'd much rather do Sepang or Philip Island again but scheduling conflicts on those ones.

Yeah Sidestand tickets are still available, however they seem to be unallocated. ie. first in best-dressed on the day. Thailand GP is gonna be hot and or raining a lot .. most of those temporary side-stands will likely have no shade. Which is why we were looking at doing the stupidly expensive option of VIP (air conditioned apparently... yawn)

The hotel booking seems to be vague, apparently we will be notified 2 weeks before the event which hotel it is. Seems like a joke. Best advise we have had for getting from Bangkok to Buriram is a 'private driver' haha this is going to be fun

We'll probably fly in Wednesday to give an extra day of farting about

    Was going to hire bikes
But my day one (thursday) schedule had us on a 4hr ride on unfamiliar roads in a foreign country in failing light with thunderstorms forecast
    So probably hire a car
Got side stand tix & accom in Korat ? 90mins away
    Toodling around after gp
might get some bike riding in or maybe just scope it out for next time

Yeah we ended up booking a flight from Bangkok to Buriram on Thursday.
We are actually staying in Buriram, will be having a dinner on Friday night with some riders!
The missus reckons there's still accommodation in Buriram

Even tho they were sold out we actually snagged some Marquez stand tickets. (someone cancelled)
Should be fun being in with the fanatics! Weather is looking a bit ordinary tho

I'd dearly love to hire bikes after the racing, but don't think the missus will be keen, maybe for some off road riding??

I done the IOMTT with Pole Position In 2013, can't recommend them highly enough, the VIP treatment was 1st class, & he has some pretty good contacts.

i went to Buri Ram for the GP, it was excellent.
there were tickets on sale at the gate on sunday for the main race.
    Accommodation is the drama.
i booked and paid for next years rooms already.
tickets are available locally here at 7/11.

if i could only figure out how to post pictures.
